Today I ran two 4/10 escalations in Passari with my dual ECCM Jackdaw. With both Sensor boosters with ECCM Script active, I had 62.5 sensor strenght in defense and 125 in sharpshooter mode.
As I read on EVE wiki one year ago, it said it wouldn't be anymore possibile to scan a ship to 100%, when sensor strenght/signature radius>1.08
On my Jackdaw
sharpshooter mode: 125/70 = 1.79 - impossibile to get 100% defense mode: 62.5/47 = 1.33 - impossibile to get 100% propulsion mode: 62.5/70 = 0.89 - possibile to get 100%, but really good skills and ship with bonuses needed
While completing the 2nd one, a Lachesis suddenly entered the room while approaching the loot container and boom, I was death. I also noticed combat probes on Dscan in the first room, but as I had such a high sensor strenght I thought nothing about it and so it wouldn't be a proble as long as I stay in Sharpshooter or Defense mode. What was strange was that the person who tried to probe me down actually just kept probes out for one cycle and then he scooped them and 30 sec later they were on Dscan again for one cycle. The probes were never on short range scan(less than 1 AU). The Probes were also T1, not sisters
has CCP stealth nerfed ECCM scripts for Sensor boosters that they no longer affect target size for combat probes? Or how did this Lachesis manage to scan me to 100%? Some time ago, I ran a 4/10 in Enderailen with the same ship, a Pilgrim tried to scan me down, probes remained on Dscan constantly and the pilgrim pilot said he couldn't get past 65% signal strenght. Also neither the pilgrim nor the lachesis have bonuses to probe strenght.

You misunderstood what you read (or it was SEVERELY out of date - which Eve wiki are you talking about? The official one is no more...).
Previously, enough sensor strength/sig would make you literally impossible to scan. That is what was changed - this can longer happen.
This change happened long before ECCM became a script.
And just because a lach is what dropped on you doesn't mean that's what he scanned with. Covops alts with virtue sets are a thing.

here a thread from 2011 when they discussed that, when did CCP make that change?

Being unprobeable got changed ages ago, can't even remember when. Instead of being impossible it's now just very difficult, but doable. |

Sometime in 2011. If you want to dig through patch notes for better resolution on that date, go nuts.
Game mechanics change frequently, if you're taking your cues from anything older than 6 months, consider the source material highly suspect without more recent corroboration.

You misunderstood what you read (or it was SEVERELY out of date - which Eve wiki are you talking about? The official one is no more...). Previously, enough sensor strength/sig would make you literally impossible to scan. Obviously this was pretty broken, so it was fixed and the ceiling is now just "very very difficult to scan". This change happened long before ECCM became a script. Also, just because a lach is what dropped on you doesn't mean that's what he scanned with. Covops alts with virtue sets are a thing. Edit: Quick bit of Googling puts this nerf sometime back in mid-2011. w8w8 sensor strength makes you difficult to scan with probes? am i reading this right? O.O |

Yes, probeability is the ratio of sensor strength to sig radius. |
