Edited by: Lucky Lynn on 26/03/2007 23:28:47 Edited by: Lucky Lynn on 26/03/2007 23:26:03 If I understand it correctly. One member of the corp is given all shares.
A wardec is set for vote.
The player holding all shares is the only one required to vote.
After the player holding all shares votes they then retract the war.
This results in 24hrs of insta wartime.
Edit: give or take a few minutes or so Edit 2: Those that know how to exploit this, I'm sure will remain silent so as not to divulge the secret.
I will also state that I'm sure once this becomes widely known CCP will render this an exploit and such. So be weary.

1)Set war votes for freighter pilots in many corps. 2)Sanction/retract when you spot one of them. 3)Fun!

Originally by: Nalar Marnith CCP already knows and it's not an exploit.
Using game mechanics for things other than their purpose is against the EULA. CCP take time to fix things, especially if there isn't too much whining about it... yet. The 24 hour waiting period prior to the actual war is to give the decced corp a chance to get ready. The post-24 hour period is to stop people deccing and then stopping when they feel like it. Deccing and then canceling the war to get an instant war is just a result of a loophole found by players to get around the intended mechanics of declaring wars, and thus against the EULA. In short, yes it's an exploit. Does the fact that CCP know about it make it right? No. Given time it'll be fixed like all other exploits.

It IS an "exploit". In tried and true EVE fashion, however, by sheer dint of age, it will become a "feature".

How do you retract a wardec while the vote is still in progress? Assuming you have all shares and is CEO?
I cant find the option anywhere.
