I'm considering establishing a hi-sec citadel (Astrohaus) for my industrial oriented corporation. However, I'm trying to get ballpark figures on startup costs and maintenance costs.
For those in the know, could you please hit me with the numbers?
1) Initial startup: ??? 2) Upkeep: ??? 3) Any unknown variables or extraneous costs: ???
The citadel would be used for storage and reprocessing. I'm not sure if research can be done in an Astrohaus, but if it can, that'd be in the cards as well. I just need to work out if the costs are worth it for my small corp of friends.
Thanks in advance for productive replies. |

Couple of bill fully fit. They're bringing out new industrial citadels soon which will change that somewhat. |

An industrial citadel definitely piques my interest. I need to find some info on them. That said, "a couple of bill" isn't specific enough for me to make a judgment call. Thanks for trying to help me though. |

I like the name "Astrohaus". I think if you dont have additional money for protection or alliance to defend it, it will be soon destroyed.

I'd recommend avoiding Engineering Complexes (EC) until FORCED to use them.
They are far far inferior to even a small control tower starbase (POS).
EC are worthwhile considering if you are NOT in hisec. |

Yeah, looks like I butchered the spelling. That's how I've been reading it, like "star house" in German or something, haha. Anyway, Astrahus. |

1) 3-4 BN including rigs and fighters 2) About 100-120m ISK per month in fuel 3) If you run out of fuel then the online cost is pretty expensive to get them back up and running, so it's in your interest to always have at least a week ahead of fuel
They're worth there weight in ISK as facility to organise and run a corp of any size from. |

If I build a POS now, do you think it will poof in the future when they force us to move to citadels? I was thinking it might be best to just adapt to the new paradigm in advance. |

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. That would be entirely manageable for us. =) |

How many highsec citadels are there? How many are destroyed each week? I see an awful lot of them on my travels...

You wont need to defend it like crazy. The time investment to take one down is high, and I dont think random HS wardeccers would care to do that.
Wait until the engi complexes come out. They are predicted to start off as being less expensive than citadels and will specialize on those things you want to do. Less of a risk to lose one.
