Yeah. The fun starts here.
Keep in mind *self-snipped to remove tactics talk* blah blah blah.
...or they got beat.
Either way, yeah, hear this guy on Vent, he's the greatest. But don't worry, I guarantee I'll have to remind him about this post after he regains consciousness this morning.

Just our side of the conflict:
Less than 10 minutes after the wardec went out, our public channel filled up with these guys. Thay were verbose, but not rude. Still, they mentioned that they hoped to get in some good fights over the course ofthe contract. We were fairly excited. Our last several contracts had resulted in our quarry running into 0.0 to hide behind the skirts of their Big Alliance allies. And, whilst we are good at what we do, we are not geared towards that kind of escalated conflict.
The engagement started, and was a low intensity conflict. Lots of movement, scouting, quick engagements and faster withdrawls. I was amazed at the smack in local. Even in the face of mounting losses, the smack continued. At the end of three days of slow moving conflict, we had more kills than losses and had suffered significantly less isk loss.
Unfortunately this is where the "good fight" ends. Our quarry began to enlist the aid of their surrounding allies. Several engagements resulted in our targets being camped in stations or systems and then calling in non-targeted combatants to triple their fleet size once the fight had started. Even though our losses began to exceed our kills, we were still ahead from an isk loss perspective. The unfortunate loss of a NightHawk was all that was needed to change that however.
We updated our client with a current SitRep, and the client requested that we cease hostilities. The fighting was good, but we were dissapointed in our targets. Not at all the "good fights" they had eluded to. Still, by calling in mass reinforcements from non-corp pilots in the area they did manage to change the scale of warfare to their advantage. We can only hope that they will keep their promise and maintain an eternal wardec against us so that perhaps, one day, we can have that "good fight" they seemed so keen on having.

Just a sidenote: nobody was "enlisted," it's just some bored buddies I believe. Coming through the gate to find your Nighthawk exploding was a surprise to me too.
Oh well, was fun while it lasted I guess.

I have to say that your side of the conflict seems to have very very rosey tinted specs, You got some kills to start off with against shall we say erm, drunk is not a harsh enough word for it Once M34N corp stop playing your terms you found yourself lacking severly, Yes you done the good scouting and making safes and such but war is never fair and to use your quote of "Our quarry began to enlist the aid of their surrounding allies", M34N never asked for anyhelp. You were fighting in low sec against not just a corp but against a community that is based there.
So a conclusion is that TNT should have stuck being carebear -MUFF- because they didn't like fighting a well organized group of drunk pilots
Congrats to M34N for anouther succesful defense against a merc corp.

Might i say that Nighthawk would have popped with or without M34N interference.

You werent the first merc corp set on us and Im sure you wont be the last... you were far from the best :P
1st mistake... When you put that war dec in you lost your biggest advantage, you could have used the sents on your side all of the players you fought against were outlaw so in turn would not have damaged your sec. 2nd mistake... Didnt check the area before taking contract, if our friends want to kill some wanabe mercs then who am i to stop them, they certainly werent enlisted and when the best u can pull together is a 9 man gang, I mean wtf make sure you have enough ppl to take out your targets gang 3rd mistake... Numerious bad calls were made on your part the few times you decided to fight, bad primaries were called and you engaged a couple of times when you were obviously outnumbered. Maybe time to find a new FC?
As far as your review of the war the first day you got ur kills... no more kills for you the remainder of the war! I seriously cant remember this station camping you were talking about except we were outside and you were inside but hey these are details... 8 kills vs 4 losses :)
If I thought for a second you would fight I would put the war dec in now but I think (like most of the time at war) you will remain in high sec. You know where we live... hope you will pay us a visit again |

By the way, "Even in the face of mounting losses" apparently means "after losing three ships and a pod."
Trinity Nova, in order: * War-dec'd an outlaw corp in low-sec. Probably necessary to complete the contract but hey, mistake one. * Came to a station to "camp" it without checking the local enemy numbers first, seeming surprised at our ships showing up, ending up running three systems away, docking and having to jump-clone out. * Ran away from a battle in a loosely organized string, leaving ships to die behind them. * Sat in the local hi-sec system for three days, not once venturing into M34N-frequented space. * Finally fled from another battle, running smack-dab into a group of our allies (who were on their OWN hunt, mind you) and losing their Nighthawk. Lack of scouts ftl.
