In some missions I fight drones and they seem to only drop alloys and compounds as loot. I know I can reprocess them into minerals, but is this all they are for?
Are they used in the construction of anythin'?
Is there any point in me keepin' them in their original bulky form?
Thanks for any advice or info rendered.

Nope... but folk with better reprossessing skills might buy them from you, they sometimes sell high.

I have refinin' 5 and refinery efficiency 2/3rds of the way to 4, so if I can't build anythin' outta 'em I guess I'm better off convertin' 'em to minerals for easy transport.

Usually the compund use less space than the refined minerals, not more.

They function kind of like ore, and you should treat them like ore too. In some cases, depending on skillset, it might be better to sell unrefined, but generally the minerals it containes is worth more than the piece itself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes - Devil ([email protected]) |

Drones don'te give bounties when you kill them, but the alloy they drop often refine into enough so that selling the mins will net you a nice amount of money. Level 4 drone missions, for example, will often give you a solid 5-10 million isk from selling the mins.

I asked this in another forum and in order to have perfect refining for the alloys, you need scrap metal processing I (along with its pre-req skills of course) -- that is, A LOT of time invested ): ....
