Hi there,
To start off with, I'm an Alpha clone, so if you're a corps that doesn't want Alpha's, you can stop reading now
.... ........
Still with me? Good
Now then, where to begin...
I have been looking at lots of ads of Corps, and in the end I decided it would be best if I just posted something myself, in the hopes that a Corps recognizes me as fitting their general player profile.
I've been playing since about 1 1/2 weeks now and I'm thoroughly enjoying the scope of the game (why oh why did it take me this long to come to EvE?). I have played some MMOs in the past (WoW, GW 1 & 2, SWTOR, Wild Star), some long, some not so long and some only a few days...
After a bit of a hiatus from MMOs, I decided to give it a go again when I heard EvE had introduced the possibility to play as an Alpha Clone. I've had EvE on my radar for a while before, but I didn't want to subscribe to more than one MMO at the same time. I am generally a bit skeptical about F2P (so far Wild Star has been my only good experience with an F2P-model), but I'm really enjoying playing as an Alpha. Sure, it has its limitations, but they haven't really bothered me yet. In fact, I find it quite an enjoyable challenge to set up shop as an Alpha and thrive
Now, about me as a player:
I am generally quite social and easy to get along with, albeit there might be days when I am not as talkative. I generally try to avoid drama and have a distaste for people that enjoy trolling.
My mindset is that of a PvE-player. I do enjoy the occasional mission ( I completed three of the five tutorial mission so far; I have passed on the military ones, for now anyway), but I mostly enjoy figuring out game/market mechanics. From the previous MMOs that I played, the ones where I stuck around the longest, were WoW and SWTOR, where in both cases I ended up mostly producing/selling goods. This is where I get my kicks (most of the time).
This does not mean I'll never partake in any PvP-related stuff, but don't expect this to be something I'll do on a regular base either. As for the trade-aspect. I don't mind occasionally participating in pursuing larger group-based goals and ventures set up by (players within) the corps, but I'd like to have the freedom to pursue my own goals when I am so inclined.
Do you think I might be a fit for your Corps and are you willing to teach me the ropes? Then drop me a line (or two, or more... )
PS: I generally prefer small or medium sized groups, but if the fit is right, I'll also consider joining a larger Corps. |
