New drone regions.
INFOD wasn't aware of what the Establishment is capable of.
Our gang was about 8 - 10 battleships. My scout told me that there is a little Establishment gate camp 3 jumps out.
Of course I ordered everyone to jump and kick the **** out of this little gate camp, afterall we are INFOD
oh boy, I wetted my pants when I saw what was coming from this cyno you guys dropped.
My command was like this: "Okay guys, they have carriers coming in. 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... no problem guys, keep them jammed or dampened."
Someone on teamspeak: "Well, not all of those carriers are really carriers" ...
Full fleet lost
Won't happen a 2nd time when I will meet Hera again tho

I remember that contract, FLA got us up there too.. it was the best contract I've ever been on.
We should rightfully have paid FLA for getting to slaughter NFC like that.

They were the days as Ozzie had said early in the thread the planet incident with the NFC was my first ever very brief eno****er of Hera indeed of any cyno based ship. This was in the days when filtering your map to reveal cyno fields actually gave you valuable information. I must confess i had not given Hera much thought up until i read your Post assuming the ship was lost by now.
I won't say long may she fly, just in case i end up on the wrong side. And i dont see a need to say that when she goes may she go with all guns firing i think that will be a forgone conclusion. I will say well done to all the associated pilots for writing the manual on how to use those things.

Ah those were good times. After the 2nd assault NFC launched on the FLA station, and we all got pushed back I remember us trying to use our fighters attached to frigates to do hit and runs as your lads did the same with your ranged BS's.
Quite the unusual mix but it was definatly good fun to try

We built her. That is to say, we did most of the hard work of getting the ISK and Minerals together for building the components, with some outside investor help along the way for the BPO's required. For a modest fee, we gave NAGA all the components and they built it for us in their Capital Shipyard. From initial idea to build it, up to the delivery of the ship took 5 months.

How so? Naga did a fantastic job, but the final assembly was only the last of many phases to her construction. We had to get the minerals, parts Bpo's the ship Bpo, build the parts and ship them to the boarder of Geminate.
Your corp was responsible for the final 2 jump haul and loading the array with our parts and Bpo. We've never denied your role in her construction and when asked I've always told people of the efforts Naga put in. Would have been wrong not to, given you effectivly only charged us the cost of setting up the Capital Pos (Split over the 4 Nyx's due to come off our Bpo)
It's just a shame that there were so many delays on the second one or Hera might have had a little sister before MC attacked

Maybe not the most expensive but I think my favourite 3 are the Tobias modified warp disruptor, the Cormacks modified energized adaptive nano membrane and the Estamels modified cloaking device
And for referance im not rich
Gratz on making great history with Hera.
Just wondering, is Hera powered by Cap Control Circuit II rig which you made from BPC i sold you while they were still rare?

She is indeed. Being a PvP vessel the parts were fairly easy to come by, so we built and fitted up the 2 rigs build from that BPC

There I was a 2 month old guy helping to defend Unity station.
from the comms:
"oh damn another towers just been anchored and is about to online shortly" "can we kill it?" "lets fighter bomb it" "everyone align" *warp to covert warp in point *lock and put fighters on the tower "oh damn the nyx is here" "nyx is primary" *adjust orbit and reassigning fighters
I learnt what an officer smartbomb does to a rifter and a pod.
I still belive to this day that my name is engraved on the side of that ship though.
Thanks EST for this and many great and sad memories, allways been a pleasure for the smak free combat.

So true.. while living in Immensea, having any of the Establishment being spotted and the threat of that ship.. was probably the only fights I tried to avoid in the area.. As others have mentioned bringing a rag tag force against it always ends badly

What I wonder is why were people so annoyed at warp stabs and nano-battleships, but enjoy supercapital PvP? Because the mechanic is the same, all three setups allow you to engage in PvP without having to commit yourself to the fight in the case of a possible loss.

Edited by: Lystar on 07/04/2007 01:50:44 That freaking thing was the first cap ship I ever saw. I remember sitting on a gate in Assah watching in utter, complete amazement as it ate a megathron's face off in mere seconds.
Then the little yellow box appeared around it and I spammed the jump button so fast I'm surprised it didn't crash the node.
After that, we planned our trips into Prov based on where EST and that danged thing was.
Later, when I wasn't quite as much of a newb, I made the mistake of following orders in KBP-7G when someone said to jump to the cyno field......let's just say the brutix didn't last long :)
Really, I'm glad she's still alive and kicking. Stuff like this is what makes EVE so awesome.

You guys came in so fast I remember the scout reporting the incoming gang and called for the cyno then it seemed like only seconds before the gate lit up with incoming jumps.
I think our cyno ship got called primary for a while and was being remote repped by our side? I know my Raven was on 10% armour and dropping fast when whoever from your side who was warp scrambling me died and I was finally able to warp.
