How do you go about setting up a station hanger for corp member use w/o putting materials or bpos at risk of theft. Which roles should be given to be able to do this,

Whatever you try/trial, make sure that you test it with an alt or something first. The smallest thing (a missed check box for example) can make a HUGE difference. |

How many people actually need access? If you are doing cooperative industry, people will need shared access to material, blueprints and finished goods - that's a big reason why a lot of industrialists are small 1 or 2 player corporations. It only works if you trust the other players.
Other than industry and ALTS on the same account, there aren't a lot of convincing use cases for shared hangars. More detail about what you are trying to accomplish would help. |

I have used 2 approaches, depending on the trust I had with my corp members.
When I had mostly RL friends, I would set up a hanger with a week or 2 of material and BPCs for the newer builders. Another had advanced materials and BPCs/BPOs for those I really trusted and that had advance skills. There was always a hanger with "freebees" with BPCs for anyone to take.
In a corp where I did not know everyone well, I used cans and doled out materials and BPCs. Basically, everyone had a container with a log. Trusted members would put in materials and BPCs for other members. The log helped track things if an audit was needed. This allowed for less trusted members to participate in larger projects by assigning specific production quotas.
I am just returning, so not sure if there is a better way now. Best of luck! |
