Hi, I have a lot of bookmarks atm (over 80) and was trying to organize them into various folders (about 5 folders in all).
I run EVE from 2 different PC's (home & work) and when I created all the bookmarks on one PC and sorted them out into their own sub-folders eveything ran smoothly on that PC - however, when I ran EVE on the other PC, the folders I created didn't exist so I had to recreate them again - no biggie... BUT heres the problem! All the bookmarks now need dragging into thier folders again and its taking over 2 MINUTES to move one bookmark!!!... for those 2 minutes EVE completely freezes as if its crashed After about 2 minutes everything goes back to normal again and I can move on to the next bookmark.
At this rate its going to take me over 3 hours to move all my bookmarks to thier relevant folder
Maybe I don't need so many bookmarks, but I have a lot of interesting places and trade routes saved. I'd hate to have to delete some so does anyone know of a quick way to copy an entire folder full of bookmarks from one PC to another? I tried copying my pref.ini file but apparantly the bookmarks aint stored in there? Anyone know where they can be found? I suspect they aint client-side which means there's nothing I can do
Thanks.

delete what is in ...\EVE\cache directory. you won't loose information.
I have done that, it works. Dans la vie, s'il y'en a, c'est parce qu'il en faut.

Your lucky you can create folders in the first place! Sure the game goes through the motions of creating them but they never appear, it has been like this since the new castor patch. I have reinstalled twice and deleted cache etc and have sent a bug report but still no joy whatsoever! Any ideas on how to rectify this would be really appreciated!

I have to ask...
...which patch are you both using ? You need at least 1352 obviously, but there *IS* an optional 1360 patch as well, that claimed to fix some bookmark/folder problems amongst other things.
And FYI, yes, the FOLDER a bookmark is in is stored clientside in the cache\settings\char_XXXXXXX.dat file. So foldering on one installation/machine won't show up on another.

1352 i couldn't use my bookmarks because they caused lots of lag, I have over 100 and I didn't have any folders (cause of a new install on new harddrive). So with much joy I started to create folders in 1360 to archive all of my 0.0 mining bookmarks in a folder and hopefully reducing the amount of lag when using the bookmark window. Folder created but like the fabulous ni-kunni female says to move a bookmark to a folder takes a long long time making that pointless for me. So I patiently wait for the bookmark window on agent kill missions, but that is the only time I use bookmarks anymore.
