The current visual can't be that great since I have never seen and didn't even know about it until it was mentioned here

just because id like to know who is scrambling me when im being orbited under 20k by more than 1 hostile. You've got to be kidding yourself if you think you will be reading combat messages during a fast fight...

I like the idea that it be treated similar to a EMC jam.
Messages pass by WAAAAAAAAYYYY too fast and are quite small when you have your resolution set to 1600x1200+ and even if you have all of your effects on, we all know how often graphical glitches happen.
I mean we ARE dealing with a very sophisitcated ship here.. seems like a no brainer to me that if it were warp scrambled it would be screaming it to you.

yay.. now I see why this thread is important. In PVP, you can assume you're being scrambled, so it's not so unexpected. However, in my 5 month life in this game I've NEVER been scrambled by an NPC until today (despite mission reports indicating it was something that occured int he past).
Today, I discover the problem and lose a torp raven because my torps+medium drones can't kill the swarm of scramblers quickly enough today and my only notifications were an unreadalbe flash of a message and apparently a voice indication (I had volume down not to wake the baby). So, I guess if you're hearing impaired, warp scramble is more effective against you. Nice job, CCP!
Issues like this.. stupid losses of resources becuase of unannounced changes in the gameworld (ie, NPCs now scramble again.. though they never have in my game life) with no notification that it was going to be possible OR that it was happening until the third attempt to warp out failed.. well, let's just say Huxley and/or Age of Conan cannot come quickly enough for me.

and how about no indicators for active modules?
I mean you can see when ammo is firing from your ship - AND if you are moving very fast must be active mwd.

We absolutely need an indicator of some kind. I have lost several ships because I didn't realize I was scrammed until it was too late. Can we also have it display the strength of the scrambling? Thanks! Creator of the Eve Market Monitor

I agree with this one. I think it would add to the game to have a clear visual indication that you are scrmabled. Even if it does not easily tell you who is doing the scambling.
Some one above said it would be too hard to code. Well, if they can code in a voice file that says "You are unable to warp because you are being warp scambled", then they can code in a visual indicator. They could even get rid of the voice file, that would probably take up more more processing power to run than a simple color cange of the speed meter.

i was in a pley today, trying to warp out. instead i was stuck with aggro of about 20 NPC on me. cos i had to sacrifice my webber to stay alive i needed ages to take down a frigate. would have been much easier if i knew which frigate to shoot to be able to warp out. ____________________________________________

Boohoo.
You know what indicates you're being warp scrambled? YOU'RE UNABLE TO WARP. "Oh noes, I lost a ship because I was warp scrambled. I should cry about it."
How easy do you kids want this game to be? Personally I'd prefer it to be a little more difficult. Showing when you're scrambled is just another war of making the game simple for the idiots who can't handle a challenge.

Another intelligent post.
How about a graphical representation, like NOS or Web? Doesn't it seem rather stupid that warp scramble is the only module affecting other ships that doesn't have a graphical representation or any notification on the HUD?
I think so. It'd be nice to know my warp engines are being affected by something before I try to activate them. Does it really make the game better that people who are hearing impaired are easy targets for warp scrambling?

If my ship is smart enough to know its out of ammo, then its smart enough to register (and keep track) of who is scrambling me in the first place.
The only problem with having an ingame indication of this is when multiple people are scrambling you.. ie.. having a list of 20 people going down your left screen is not going to be practical in battle... so maybe just a simple icon on that ship in the overview?

Still wondering why this has not made it in. I started mentioning it back in August 2005 and still not much of a response. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=214284&page=9
Imho this is a tactical information that should be available to you. Eve is - after all - a very tactical game when it comes to fighting.

I have been scrambled before and missed it, which made me go for the larger ships first rather than the frigs, luckily I didn't need to warp out.

I'm all for some indication for all things being done to your ship, even if it's only an icon on the ship you have locked showing what effects it is firing at you (like on the left of the icon, opposite of the modules you are engaging on it). The red speedometer is a good idea, too. Or even just a little red light.
As for the people who claim it is stupid and pointless: My last car did not have a tachometer, yet was manual transmission. I have no idea why. Now, I had no trouble driving it properly, I've driven manual long enough to know when to shift based on speed, tone, power, feel, etc. I will still say, though, that not having one is just stupid.
I'll always be a fan of too much information available over too little information available. Let the player decide what rolling data indicators they want to keep track of.

how about they turn the warp scrambling effect into a big beam or something highly visible. Making the whole thing alot easier? ---

Personally I would'nt mind that, but many would have client lag issues - especially if multiple scram points happen.
Imho thus far the best idea was changing the speed bar bar color to red.

This is pretty good. But I agree with the person who said "why? you're screwed anyway". But it would be nice to know who was warp scrambling you. That way you'd know who to kill. Then maybe you wouldn't be screwed.
It would be nice if CCP could respond to this in some official way, since the issue has been around for a long time.

there's ALREADY a warp scramble effect, it's just really hard to see. It makes this really nice sound that gets my sub going just right ;) You can usually only see it if you're looking at the interceptor and zoomed right in. ---

I know this is semi-necro, but I just lost my Raven to a crappy little frig in a Level 4, after taking out about 10 of it's brothers.
If you coulda just let me know something was scramming my Raven, then chances are I woulda spotted it sooner - instead of when I was at 14% shield, and trying to warp out.
In all seriousness, this is an unfair game mechanic, as there is only an indication when you are originally scrambled, and a graphic which is bloody difficult to see!
I'm not whining, or bitter about losing my Raven, just wanted to make my point of view heard, as this could be devastating to someone with a lower wealth than me - because of dodgy game mechanics.
