if all blueprints were destroyed and there were only a finite amount of them to use (including modules). would people still do pvp (even though it would mean the end of EVE Online?) or would they do the alpha thing and grind for no reason (like you do on a clicker game/mobile game?) would the game be worse, better, or the same? what would it say about the people playing the game? |

Eve IS PVP
Without the PVP, the people whom PVP would not be here.
Without them, the people whom make stuff for the PVPers would not be here.
Without the Manufactures the people whom mine for them (God bless their boring souls) would have no one to sell too.
Some of the miners might keep doing it, but that is it. |

I have so much loot laying around, it probably wouldn't affect me for a couple of years.
However if this change happened, I'd do even more PvP. Would be hilarious seeing New Eden slowly run out of items.

In the end everybody remaining would be flying noobships... errm corvettes. I wonder how many would be required to bring down Chribba's Veldnaught.

Wha would happen if there were only a few Industry slots freely available in the game, and everyone would either have to compete with everyone else for them, or invest heavily on personal structures so they could have their own industry opportunities?
Oh wait, we had that before. Crius fixed it and the game is better now for it. |

Eve is a complex system - diverse, connected, interdependent and adaptive people in a sandbox. With a little assistance from CCP, we've collectively created something incredible.
It amazes me that the veldspar an Alpha character mines in highsec can end up as part of a Titan that plays a role in a major nullsec war.
This complexity attracts researchers who study Eve for insights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8awYDP6W_M and keeps me logging in - don't even think about reducing or eliminating it!

Even with all the stockpiles you would see a LOT of things run out quite quickly that are very important to almost every facet of Eve life. And as they run out people would hoard things more and more. Prices would skyrocket and then continue to climb quickly and people would become more and more risk adverse and the "fun" would soon die out for the casuals and the lazy and only the hardcore would venture out.
Ironically CODE would be in a weird position. Everything they destroy would be gone but so would suicide gank ships. So suicides would become even bigger risk/reward calcuations based on amount of ships available. But with the amount of cheap ships available right now you could effectively take out almost ALL t2 ships in high sec right off the bat in a blitz if its flying around at all.
I think wed see a lot of things burn like this then as that catches on until most areas of the game would be a wasteland. Even PvE against NPCs would be curtailed if it is possible to die to them in any way as people conserve more and more and those that ran out of goods to play the way they wanted to would either adapt to another aspect or more than likely simply leave the game entirely.
Then it would be a matter of the "last" killmails for certain things rather than the "first" destroyed.
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.
Had to end sometime.

ohh that's good, what would happen if the people using alt armies to produce and research your limited to only their 1 account?

You are "overcomplexing" this game.....
CCP would simply spawn modules in the market......
And nothing would change at all |
