Can an old account use them? And if so, for example, if I had something Alpha's can't normally have, would I simply lose it even if I later went back to paid account?
I wouldn't mind playing eve again, but I don't really have the time to warrant paying for it. I suppose I could just start a new account, but if I don't have too, then I wouldn't mind having my ships lol.
Also, is there some way I could check what I have vs what Alpha's can have, without actually having to pay to log in and manually check?
It's been over a year since I played last, so I simply can't remember exactly what I had.
If this is answered somewhere, a link would suffice, thanks in advance :) |

Your old account is now alpha, so you can just log in and check it out.

That wouldn't cause me to lose stuff permanently if it was beyond what an Alpha can have? That's all I'm worried about lol. |

No it certainly wont be lost completely - but it will restrict the ships you can fly while you are alpha You are pretty much restricted to Tech1 ships up to cruisers from your characters race. |

You will still have those skills, and they wont be lost - but you can't use them on Alpha
I see on the one page that you can only have 21 ships, what if I have 22 ships? lol. (I honestly am not sure how many I have). I do know that I have some ships I won't be able to access due to their tech level though. |

i'm not sure where you get the '21 ships', but i can tell you right now it's not about the number of ship you can possess but the ship type you can fly. if you are an alpha you can only fly T1 frigs, T1 dessies, and T1 cruisers. so BC, BS, and T2 ships are restricted.
what ships you own now won't disappear, even the skills you've trained, when in alpha, it will just be restricted.

yeah, that's 21 ship TYPE (i.e. incursus, atrons, algos, vexor, etc), not the number of ships you can only possess.

It's true, you can only have 21 ships, but luckily the first time you log back in, you'll have an opportunity to contract them to someone else.
Send them to me. I'll look after them good and all.

Nat Silverguard answered your questions correctly.
The only thing left to say is welcome back to Eve. May you have a long and rewarding career.

I have 5,000 rookie ships could you imagine what my position would be if I was only aloud 21 ships.

Turns out I only own one ship I can't use lol. And it was the one I was using when I logged out, a few jumps from my base of operations.
I did lose access to some of the gear I was using on other ships, and quite a few of my skills got locked, but over all, I can go back to my mining and shipping operations I used to do. Hopefully eventually I'll have enough time to warrant paying and getting my ship and skills back. |

You won't lose anything if you downgrade, you simply won't be able to use it. If you're in a ship you can't fly, you'll be allowed to fly it, but you won't get any bonuses. CCP addressed this somewhere, but I forgot where. |

Actually, it wouldn't let me undock in the ship I was in when I logged back in. So that must only be true if you logged out in space (which I'm not sure anyone who's sane would do that lol). Luckily I was in 0.5 space, so I was able to just pod my way over to my other ships safely. |

However, if you were outside a station and lost Omega, you'd not lose any access to stuff aside from ship equipment. |
