Recently I installed a long-running Manyfacturing Job in a moon station I own. During the runtime for this job my Station based Corp Hangar's Rent came due but I forgot to pay it on-time. A few days after I paid the rent and retrieved my goods I completed the long-running build job and found my BPO was nowhere to be seen.
I feel this is a serious game bug because the game did not know where to place my BPO once the job had been completed because the original source for the BPO was no longer available since the rent had not been paid and the database ID that would have been used to describe the location of the BPO was no longer avaialble since my goods were in a different place in the database once the job completed.
I have Petitioned this but have not heard back after several days.
This has happened to two of my BPO's so far.
If anyone else has had a similar thing happen to them in-game I would like to know what I can do to keep this from happening to the rest of my long-running build jobs since I am sure every single BPO I attempt to retrieve will disappear as the other 2 have already under similar circumstances.
I would like very much to know where my two missing BPO's have gone, in case the corrective actions on my part turn-out to be simple but so far I cannot figure-out what I should have done to avoid losing my 2 BPO's. |

I have had the same thing happen to me as well, very annoying.
Your BPO's are not lost, they are in a corp hangar you no longer can access as the new office you created in the same station has a new ID. Just petition it as stuck and you will have it back in a day or less. Specify station and what BPOs it was for a quicker response.
We're sorry, something happened. |

This is not a bug.. ok.. well maybe it is, but it's a design thing.. makes sense when you think about it, but it still is a PITA.
From what I was told, when you rent an office, you get a database ID. When you let your rent lapse, and you re-rent your office, you are actually assigned a new office (new database ID). Now your research job pointed to your original office ID, so when you deliver, it goes to the old hanger..
You need to file a petition, and a GM can give you back the BPO.
Morale of the story.. PAY YOUR RENT
I have heard that you may have a similar issue if you change the names of your hangers as well.. but not 100% sure

Here's my fix :)
"When you fail to pay rent, the corporation who owned your office reposesses any inbound equipment and sells it off"
Uh
Man, that sucks, petition should fix it :)

I think a better solution for the GM's in the end would be to give you the same office ID if its the same corp ID that was originally attached to the office ID.
that, or...
PAY YOUR RENT!

Actually, if you open the corp account tab and look under 'impounded' they should be there. At least that's where I found mine when this happened to me.

I also had a bill go unpaid and then the BP's vanish upon completion, v annoying when the batch of jobs in finished one by one over the course of a fortnight!
Thankfully tho the GM dealing with retrieving them for me was v helpful (Huggin i think it was) So i didnt have to petition each in turn.
Just petition it and they will get restored

snap i lost a bpo this same way office unrented while in production.
I was able to run it from the lockdown menu in corp it took a few days for the petition to get sorted due to the production.
GM's sorted it fine once production was complete.
Just file a petition

I never had that problem I just put all of my BPOs in the lab itself in lowsec because I didn't have remote research skills at the time. I still won't because I have no need for them.
Way I figure it is that if you want a BPO, don't be lazy and do the research from 5 or so jumps out, actually go to it and monitor its status.

You'd think in the era of warp drive and stargates one could set up an automated direct deposit from the corp wallet to the landlord. Or at the very least pay for a month in advance!
Anyways, yes its a known issue, and yes you will get your stuff back, it just takes them forever to process your petition. Don't ever let the rent lapse. ------------------- |
