There are changes to the some of the ships and the extra Hard point rigs. When will they be implemented?
Those are test modules and I really doubt we will be able to use them anytime soon. Not that I would mind to have 7 mids on Sleipnir though
We're sorry, something happened.

There are likely differences between the item db and TQ - for now. It was generated from the internal testing server, so I guess if someone was testing something then they might have tweaked a value which the scripts picked up. I am going to try to regenerate it from the TQ data this week, then there won't be any differences from the live server.
Originally by: Winterblink How is the whole item db process not a nightly one? It doesn't seem to be dealing with that much data, I've written data mart processes which deal with considerably large amounts of data which run nightly and don't take too long.
Just curious. :)
There's no reason to run it nightly. Data doesn't change except for during patches, and when I know about a patch I can just rerun the generator and get things taken care of.
It takes ~2 hours to generate all of the ASP pages. Doing the icons is another ~3 hours, but those don't have to happen very often. It was more effort this time simply because of bitrot. It hasn't been touched since mid-2006 and wasn't Revelations compatible.

There is also stuff missing here.
Like Black Market Trading skill. It's sort of on TQ, not to buy as a commodity as such but still exists in game. This is not the only item of this type that is on TQ like this.
Can you conifrm your script picks up anomolies like these items?

No it doesn't. Those items are not on the public market - they're not officially acknowledged (or whatever the exact reason is for not showing those items on the public exchange). The item database on the website should only show things that can appear on the market.
Although, I noticed a strange thing in that faction ammo is showing up in the db. I'm not entirely sure why - I don't think they should.
Edit: Game Design informs me that faction ammo was allowed on the market last patch. So, that's why it's showing up. Thanks for the info, Chronotis!

Forgive me for being blunt, but I think this is just stupid!
Why have an out-of game Item DB that is the same as what one can find from in-game? Sure it's a slight bit eaiser to use but what is the resoning behind hiding items? Just because the market doesn't allow it? The item is in the game so put it in the damn item DB.
It's my belief that decisions like this are driving the game into the have's and have-not's. Those who are part of a big group (BoB/BoD, RA, etc.) will know about rare items and how to get them while the rest are clueless (and weaker).
You Dev's already know all about the rare items and I'm sure there are no laws against sharing that information... you're keeping important information away from the public and also seem to enjoy the incestuous organizations that this creates.

I find it absolutely laughable that 3rd party sites and even EVE-Mon have the full database available, up-and-running for just about everybody to see, while at the same time CCP, the makers of the game, have problems listing correct and/or up to date info on their own site.
That being said, I really, really don't give a damn anymore if the item database is updated or not, I either showinfo in-game (either using grismar's showinfo page as quick-search, or the variants tab) or look at it in EVE-Mon.
I just noticed minutes ago that the eve-online.com Item DB was updates, and for good reason: it's next to useless. And I don't mean the data only, I mean the whole layout... it takes FOREVER to get to the item you want to see, and you have no quick comparison anywhere. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

You must be using Internet Explorer... right ? IE has no clue how to handle transparent PNGs, only transparent GIFs. The Item Database images are transparent PNGs. _ MySkills | Module/Rig stacknerfing explained |

Thanks, it's indeed IE. Just tried it with Firefox and they sure are transparent. My mistake. And IE sucks |
