EVP (Electronic Voice Persona) is the apparition/vocal anomaly which research suggests are the souls of the afterlife perceived and recorded by the living and sensitive devices.
EVPM (Electronic Voice Persona Manipulation) is a career path Necromancers and Witches endeavor to master.
Aboard your ship you will need to update your firewalls with the latest versions of Anti-Malware and use connections that are tailored to maximize your data processing speeds with the least amount of signatures attached to your incoming packets. The more signatures the more likely one of these traces is an EVPM.
As a Khai Alpha I am familiar with the spiritual ways of the Minmatar and realize the Ancient Amarrian roots from which I stem are that akin to these same principals.
This being said I am unaware how confused the other races in the Eve Cluster are considering they are more capitalistic, manipulative, corporate hive minded and zealous than the more God fearing and reverent Tribal Minmatar.
Of reverence and the Minmatar the Amarr have attempted to EVP manipulate (using EVPMs) they've irreversibly condemned their ties to religious organs and the enigma of understanding God as manic psychosis catalyzed by power and fear mongering.
Amarr EVPMs assume they are in control of afterlife. They instigate activity from dormant stages of death, s+¬anceing hacked microphones with traditional religious doctrine designed with methodical torture and the subjugation of their own populations.
Mirth in Empire is too low to support these zealous sad ghosts. There is a surplus of integrating souls aboard every ship in the cluster and those Amarr are beleaguering, persecuting, ignorant and lost.
Sleep will play a major proponent in dealing with the upheaval these generated, projected and wounded souls present.
Once connected to a mirthful ship, full of moral and intrigue, sci-fi addicts destined for greatness. They leave the Ouija board and the cannibal's candle behind. Sink their wet toilet paper looking non-corporeal essence into your terminal or view screen and try to co-exist: Trespassing within the realm of your spiritual awareness.
These souls are graceless, self-righteous and have no intention of questing for heaven or an afterlife void of judging your crew and your captainship. Being a nag is their idea of a heavenly time.
Those are Amarrian. Bastards!
Minmatar.
I will warn you.
There are sects of your celestial organs, heavenly plots and Cabalic miscreants that also require addressing.
The Beasts.
Let it be known that the immortal souls that trespass, demonize or haunt the living flesh are never, and I mean never, to be considered animal kingdom.
The Beast who is immortal, and their numbers dwindle, was a human who died and made a coffin of an animal.
So long these souls imagined themselves as part of the animal kingdom these days many of them donGÇÖt remember having been human and have no concept of peace in the afterlife.
From whales, (who it is reveled are most evil and vindictive) to lions; I as a spiritually aware space farer can only sigh at their fates as gravity wells take the mirthless into lakes of fire across the cosmos.
Back to Amarr. The real threat to Eve.
They are drawing mirth from their own inability to conceive heaven.
Their pleasures are entwined with your own failures. This is why they must be driven into the lakes of fire at star and planet center gravity mass.
How to drive these judgmental zealots into the lakes of fire?
Tell them when they approach you about the riches of heaven: The rivers of gold, the silver and the platinum. When they eagerly search for these minerals in order to satisfy the greed of their abusers; Slavers. They will find themselves in a delve they will never return whence.
Control your dreams and keep them extravagant.
The more elaborate and outlandish the more gold and silver one will need to 'wilt' to the demands of these afterlife Cabalic zealots.
You know you canGÇÖt afford a GÇÿGolden FleetGÇÖ.
Where does one come up with that kind of money?
Heaven of course!
At the center of your closest planetary structure.

Okay, so I see three options here.
1) Jita 4-4 is capsuleer heaven (doubtful) 2) Jita 4-4 is some kind of super-hell you're attempting to drag me to (probable) 3) Capsuleer heaven is something different entirely (in which case, what is it?)

According to the shamans there is no heaven. There is only that spirit place that is kind of a mirror to the physical one. A mirror. So not heaven.

Well, the Amarr believe that there is a heaven. Likely comes with endless plains and fields and plenty and all that. Their heaven has a rather high bar for entry, though.

Of worship I know about trying to identify with God.
I can express that God Wills to be known through the good works of the people whose lives It has touched.
If you don't have anything good to say about God, if you don't have a bountiful God to share with the world, why worship this demon?

Uh, Mr. Ephisianos, while I'm no doctor, I'd advise you seek psychological counseling. You might be trying to see more than there is. If there's EVP and EVPM technology that can be used to invade private affairs (albeit in a menial and nagging fashion), then perhaps it would be the best course of action to provide that evidence to CONCORD or perhaps the Sisters of Eve if it's conclusive.
I hear the folk at SOE are real good researchers, but pardon my skepticism. We didn't exactly have to worry about this sort of stuff back on my home-planet. |

Well-- except there kind of is. Divination is an occultist practice, and our "stargazer" astrologers are very respected. It's not that most Achura take stargazer practices literally; I think they're respected more for how well they understand people than for any actual ability to tell the future. We also have animistic and dream-focused sects that are very much into connecting with and exploring the realm of spirit.
I think what kul Shaishi is getting at is that there's no real concept of heresy in Achur practice-- as you might imagine, there's a lot of variety among the Thousand Sects ("Thousand" is an abstraction by the way; it's probably way over a thousand by now), and they're all taken to be different ways of looking at the single greater truth that is Achura.
That's not to say that nobody ever got executed for sorcery back in the old Achur Empire, though. If you were suspected of using magic to hurt people, it didn't matter a lot whether it was "heretical." Harming your neighbors doesn't make you popular whether you're doing it with poison or using some supposed affinity for malevolent spirits to throw curses around-- but, also, having a knack for either poison or, supposedly, hexes might have uses that would be recognized and even honored.
That said, more esoteric religious practices, real or imagined, turn up a lot in gruesome old legends and are a standard trope of a lot of modern Achur horror fiction. Just because it's not inherently "wrong" or heretical (or, probably, real) doesn't mean it's not great for scaring people. |

My mind wandered away for awhile and I was almost about to write something serious related to Quote:God fearing and reverent Tribal Minmatar.

I'm afraid, you have no idea what a "heavenly time" actually is, Mr. Ephesianos.
In fact, now I question whether you are a honest victim of clone degradation, like Nauplius and countless others, or just an especially clever Ushra'Khan propaganda blog project.
I'll just tell you what my idea of a heavenly time is.
It's when you are 14 and it's 2 AM and you lay on a grassy hilltop, looking at the immense, endless universe above. And, as your eyes adapt to the darkness, it grows ever deeper; and then, you understand, that every tiny speckle of light in this sky is a star or a planet, except those that visibly move, for those stars are made by men. Thousands of worlds from hundreds of light years away look at you - and you, for a while, feel - and fear - the Universe.
"Cannibal's candle". Screw your propaganda and your fake madness, Mr. Ephesianos.
My soul is a candle. And everyone else who looked at the endless stars as a child and admired their beauty and feared their eternity, is a candle, whether she or he knows this or not.
And we all, together, are the cathedral that, one day, will transcend Death itself. |
