I bring you the Updated 2017 Marauder Comparison. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYRWJdCttwk&list=PLXeoCU9cKB-HW9Ho0N3_fFTVDG0yTH_GP
On a daily bases a new pilot joins our ranks and naturally comes to the forums for information on a direction on what ship they should fly.
Coming to Eve, everyone thinks big, GÇ£I want to fly a Titan!GÇ¥ after doing some research and more reasonable expectations naturally adjust, in the PVE mission world the Marauder could certainly be considered an End game ship and perhaps something to strive for.
It goes without saying there are always T3 cruisers, Pirate faction ships and such. But a T2 battleship is certainly an excellent machine to fly end game and run those missions.
Doing video searches and googling for this information the available information is old. Many of the fits and ships have drastically changed over the years. I was quite shocked on my return to Eve just how much has been added and changed. As I struggled to catch up with the new ships. I often thought, it would be wonderful if someone made a ship comparison for some of the new ships and illustrate its style, how they work and the pros and cons of each.
I have spent many, many man hours doing just that for Marauders. This was quite the undertaking and a learning experience making a video series this long while learning how to edit and do new things.
I intentionally kept it pretty basic with my review to be newbie friendly. Layout for each illustrates via video the following. -This is the ship -This is how it works -These are its Pros -These are its Cons -Here is an example fit IGÇÖm using -Time lapse at the end of the video clearing missions.
I use no links, Implants, Boosters. Have max skills for all ships. To allow new players to get an idea of what to expect and the style of play each one brings. To allow any new player to identify what they may feel they would enjoy the most.
I understand there will always be players out there that wonGÇÖt agree with some of my fits, or assessments for each ship. ThatGÇÖs only natural, we all have our own way to go about things and own interests of what we enjoy. Like the videos, this is just to keep things basic, provide a current look of how the ship performs to give a new person a direction. We can theory craft and make changes. Some changes to fits would have incredible value, however the end result the ship is going to work basically the same just better/worse depending of fit.
That said, rather than turning this in to a throw down with spread sheets, letGÇÖs just keep it simple for the guy/girl that started last week and wants to know what the thing looks like and how itGÇÖs basically used, which gives that person a direction to strive for. It would be nice to have a copy and paste link when the question is asked on what ship to get.
If these videos helped you in anyway, please let me know to encouragement to make more. Thanks! Tox |

"everyone wants the biggest ship" - No "ship guide for newbies" - Talks about Marauders *doesn't at all explain the uses for the ships, just states they're the best to get *never uses more than one weapon group - lol nope * never fits MJD - nope * uses silly amounts of tank - nope
"Vargur needs extra tanking module when facing Amarr npc" lol no "use Hail vs Angels" - No
*fits 2 cap rechargers on the Paladin - Nope *Fits Pulses - debatable but really, nope "Saachi" - nope SANCHA
Newbies ignore these videos. They're not ships for newbies nor should you automatically aim for any of them and even IF you're in the market for one of those ships I wouldn't base your choices on these videos. |

I agree with the first reply.
You go into almost no detail other than just saying they are "the best". Your fits vary from not very good to downright bad and as has already been mentioned, this has NOTHING to do with new players.
You made 4 videos about Merauders and are trying to pass them off as Newbie Guides i assume because Newbies won't pull you up on the rubbish you're talking.
Newbies : Please don't feel like this is anything to aim for.

As it is we already have too many new players trying to play Eve as if it were one of those "other" MMOs. Concepts like "end game content" and "progression" are ideas that are already incredibly difficult for us to break new players of. Reinforcing that behavior with this post here in the NC Q&A I see as being counter productive. |

a marauder is a 1 year minimum training with decent level 4/5 skills to fit T2 mods and drones.
not for newbies at all...

Oddly enough I think the most noob friendly ships are your basic frigates and destroyers for each of the factions.
My favorite ship to fly around in is my Breacher, it is simple, cheap, and gives me a wide range of combat options. The other is my Probe, again, another versatile ship, drones, exploration gear, and speed. Not to mention doesnt exactly look like an explosion at a "girder factory".
But I am still a "noob" myself so my opinions should be weighted as so. |

just putting this out there (and im certain any of the other vets who fly them will back me up on this)
but
Marauders are boring. like seriously boring ships to use unless your wealthy enough to pvp in them.
sure they're spangely and shiny and expensive and have stupid stats but actually flying one in its natural habitat i.e. missions or bashing ecm fit "dickstar" large pos's , is heinously tedious after day 2.
