This is my 3 month EvE Experience currently i live in Null-Sec . The funny thing about EvE is that this game has 70% window usage than other MMO games like W*W, etc etc.
Honestly iam love to play game that has a action like World Of Warship, not to mention the dots in EvE when there is a mass war. Is there anyone here could recommend me a good window setup management ?
I use 19" monitor LG Flatron E1941, dual setup ? I think so but currently i don't have job , i have money to afford but afraid it's not worth the bucks if i don't have passive income .
Overall i am happy to spend my time playing EvE |

I use one monitor and resolution 1920x1080.
I do mainly exploration.
I have drone window at the bottom of system overview on right, at the top is target info window with targets. Inventory opens on the right side with 4 columns of icons.
Personal locations on left side, docked in one window together with scanner, directional scan, journal and planetary interaction. At the bottom of it is chat with local.
Ship overview with healthbars and modules is centrally at the bottom.

I have to admit, I struggle to get all the windows in with 1920x1200 and 90% UI scaling. This game really wants a 1440p monitor. |

I am not strugging because I use one window in my setup like you would use browser window with all those tabs in upper row, many windows docked inside one. Its natural for me. I dont think everything must be at all times on top.

I do a sort of grid setup. On a crowded laptop screen it works fine, but not great. I will forever rail against the UI of EVE until it gets a real major paradigm shifting overhaul but no matter how you set up your windows, it won't be a good setup, just less bad. On the far left I have local nearly full height. Next is P&P/fleet then chats. Middle is clear. Right is selected item, overview, drones, cargo. My playstyle has mostly been highsec so I've never really needed a permanent home for d scan, but I'd probably merge it with my cargo window. Everything else are things I don't need a constant eye on, so they stay minimized.
I really wish there was multiple monitor support back when I had a desktop setup, but even without it, it was nice to have a second screen with a browser and a bigger non laptop monitor. It's not even a small laptop but it feels ridiculously crowded UI compared to a normal desktop.

Now think about those people in wormholes, their local must look tiny at all times.

I don't have a ton of space view, but zoomed out and everything else laid out carefully, it feels claustrophobic but it works.

I seriously wonder sometimes if I could just turn off the rendering of all that spaceship-stuff in the background and play entirely by windows that occupy the whole screen-realestate.
I also wonder if those huge CRT monitors in the attic still work after a decade..
They say Alpha clones are only for trying stuff. I say it's just the Hard Mode.

At least one of mine does. You'd be surprised at how smoothly animations play on them.
