For thousands of years perfecting Cloning Technology was held as a secret for a single reason....someone finally did it. Someone cloned a myth from a child's bedtime story and transferred their consciousness into the thing. Seeing the raw power if not the beauty of the Beast that was created the cult soon grew to a few million followers that had transformed theirselves from normal omnipotent gods and goddesses to the very things that nightmares are made of.
The new cult could now pass between humanity and demon with a single clone. As the cult rejoiced others found out about their plans and destroyed the clone colonies deep in Null Space that were hidden at the very ends of the Universe. Some escaped with the data they had collected into the Void of space. Space that had never been explored. Space that was accessed by using large mobile Jump Drive Gates that were destroyed after the last cult member passed through them. Into the Void is where they took their devotions.
No one is certain what become of them....or what they have become since then.

Sorry, but a MMORPG isn't a 140 character Tweet.
A new storyline for Eve Online would open up new space that would have new missions, exploration sites, combat, mining, SOV etc.
Look what Wormhole Space did for the environment of New Eden. |

A child's bedtime story should be the basis for a new Eve spacial area and/or race? No sorry. Kinda lame in that aspect, same with the human/demon clone portion.
Kinda been done to death.
Now the stargates and being flung far off into space sounds Eve like.
Have you heard anything I've said?
You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?
That's right.
Had to end sometime.

Offtopic, but this gave me a few ideas:
-Neural linking of multiple characters to pool SP into a Singularity Super Character -Introduction of more AI NPC characters/faction to represent the rise of Artifical Intelligence vs organic sentience.

One clone colony survived, cast loose into deep space to wander with the dark winds for thousands of years, battered and burned by random energies loosed from the Nudeterium power supply. Trapped within their inescapable honey combs the clones morphed time and time again across an unimaginable range of horrors as time, space and radiation had their way. Finally tossed upon the alien shores of a small, insignificant planet, the darkened, rotting material of the colony walls melted away allowing the solitary survivor to crawl ashore. The clone assumed the form of the second level dominants, learned their ways and assimilated into their culture. The body transformation wore reasonably well although there were issues with the human hair.
The room was silent, the board of directors awaiting this first meeting with their new CEO. The door opened and the new CEO took his place at the table's head. He looked around with his piercing gaze, drawing the drama of the moment to it's peak before finally addressing the group.

The easiest way to add more content and effectively double the actual sized of eve star systems would be to reopen the eve gate in some way. Like maybe collapsing the new Eden star into a black hole to power a wormhole stabilization array of some description. Think Stargate SG1 and the super gates.
Edit: There are already 3 cults in Eve. Amarr, Blood raiders and Sansha.
Edit Edit: And a player cult called CODE. =P |

Re-opening the Eve Gate suddenly just like it closed would be interesting. Is there a large station just on the other side of where the gate used to be studying every anomaly to determine what happened?
I think there would be for the simple reason that if the Gate did suddenly open back up that Earth would have to deal with vengeance of hundreds of trillions of Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar as well as the Pirates that would in a moment come together as single Universe to exact its revenge for being left behind with no one really caring about the fate of the First Pioneers.

It isn't the people on the other side of the wormhole that are at fault for the callapse. It is a wormhole after all. The collapse happened tens of thousands of years ago. Eve citizens know about as much about the eve gate as they know about the sleepers, talocon or the drifters. The Jovians may know more but they are secretive and likely to be extinct soon. |

No one is for certain the reason why the wormhole collapsed.
One theory could be that the ancient Drifters with their Circadian scouts were on a survey mission from their Universe looking for a place to live or expand into and found New Eden. They also found the Terran supply and exploration convoys coming in through the Eve Gate and shut the gate down in order to keep the Terrans from bringing in more than they already had. After watching the Terrans for many years the Drifters realized they would have to formulate a plan to eradicate the new virus in their system but as the years went on the Terrans, like a fungal growth in the damp and warm forest took over New Eden and to the Drifters surprise were much more resilient to the Drifters.
Or perhaps the Drifters or Jovians purposely closed the Gate gate down to trap the Terrans hoping that the new source of fresh bodies could be used to replenish the Jovian population that is dying.
If the accounts of the Jovian's closing the Gate down is true to in essence use the Terrans as cattle then the Jovians must have found the Terrans thousands of years ago and led the Terrans to the Eve Gate that the Jovians constructed and then purposely collapsed.
If the Jovians can create the gate and close it.....
Then the Jovians have the technology to re-open the Gate. |

Re-opening the Gate would be easy to say the least.
The Test Server is a mirror of the actual server which has 7500 total solar systems.
Because the Test Server is not populated nearly the same as the actual server I would suggest that the least used solar systems on the Test Server be converted to new explorable space that would be inaccessible to those on the Test Server.
Manage the Test Server to be a test region only and not a mirror of the actual server.
I would say that releasing 4000 of the 7500 solar systems on the Test Server to be converted into new explorable space that is not part of the New Eden Universe would create a new environment that would have every Capsuleer grabbing their Pods and making their way for the new world.
Entry into the New World would be done at defined High Sec locations that would be impervious to attack with Alliances being able to later on add their own Gate's to the New World in Low and Null. |

And for those who would say no to such an idea....let your flesh and bones and your artifacts be found thousands of years from now in the Old World.
The test server wouldn't fill it's role if the universe differed much from the main server. Also, space is empty enough as is without thousands more systems.

The test server is just sitting there taking up money and hardly gets used.
Make it an asset and put it to use instead of a liability.
Use it to create new content that will attract new and old players the like.
Content generation is what drives an environment like Eve Online...not regulating it too...space is empty enough. |
