High sec imagine this old system
I warp in on someones mission - salvage only he shoots concord comes in and blows him up If i loot then He can shoot me
New system i salvage on someones mission mission runner shoots at me but doesnt not destroy me only takes shots. Flashes red but no concord. Get blown up concord shows up
CCP no mention of this in patch notes or anything else, this is a big change to the flagging system and has been exploit reported under those conditions if its noted in patch notes then i guess its not .
For those of us that engage in evilness for profit u should know about these chagnes they also affect gang warfare in a big way.
So can we get a stick yand dev response on this

On another note this could be used to lure new players into joining mission runners being encouraged to loot and salvage their wrecks well salvage mostly the mission runner blowing players up no concord the noob then attacks the mission runner and gets blown up due to only the mission runner able to shoot ( did try shooting back) and i got concorded seems a little suss CCP clarification would be useful

So what you say is that salvaging someone elses wreck (only applies to mission wrecks?) will flag you towards them, just as if you would steal a can?
Or is it too early in the morning for me to understand your post...
Help me help you. |

Errr, so if i understand correctly, now the mission runner can actually protect his wrecks.
Oh god, and that is unfair?

While his writing leaves to be desired the point he's trying to make is that it was changed without warning.

it would appear there has been a stealth change, of sorts and without prior notice.

That isnt uncommon CCP have done it multiple times (stealth changes) :) Although embarrasingly one doesn't come to mind, but it has been done before :)

No. And if the ones screaming the loudest weren't the ones who regard selectively picking two items from the 1.2mill BSs as "looting & salvaging" there wouldn't be a problem either.

My eyes are broken...and this thread seems to be full of jibberish Ingerish.
Sorry butI'm confused - people would actually warp in on a mission runner to salvage their wrecks? Is it just mission wrecks cause flagging then?
Wrecks of ships themselves can't be owned (since some act of destruction removes the original owner), and shouldn't flag anyone who salvages them if you ask me.
- Ideas are my business...maybe thats why I'm always skint! Please read my ideas |

on the other hand devs have stated they want this as a eve profession so dont shoot us we do engage in this just like pirates shoot u in low sec and corp thieves and other so called " scum" or dark side players particpate in eve as well
yeah selectively grabbing loot from unaware mission runners is a doable thing , but such changes such as flagging from CCP just a simple patch note would be good

lets see open mission areas like blockade it doesnt occour, mission deadspaces ( acceleration gates etc it has happened several times ive salvaged no yellow flagging indicator yet the other party has been able to shoot at me and no concord
DOesnt affect PVP wrecks, belt rats, fixed complexes, exploration sites or open mission areas without acceleration gates me think its just some buggered up hotfix but not good.
