After finalizing a contract, no contract pops like it did in past.

Originally by: Pottsey I to have lost the salvage drone operation skill. ItĘs unfair to take away a skill we have trained and the isk some people spent buying it. Nothing in the patch notes about it to warn us it was getting taken out. We should get the skillpoints back we spent training it to spend on something else. Or get the skil back.
Agreed. I still see one for sale on Contracts, so hopefully the removal was unintentional.

I took the time to acquire the salvage drone skill and you take it away, meanies! You realise that you now owe me a skill and the time I took training it.
Oh and I still can't seem to find that stasis drone augmentor I blueprint, can you point me in the right direction?

Edited by: MellaRinn on 24/04/2007 16:20:12 It seems that the Production Time (You) and Production Time fields do not display proper values (but base value instead) on BPOs of t2 components (didn't check others) regardless of the PE level and the skills of the character looking it up (PE level shows up, but you need to actualy load the BPO to a production slot to see the correct time of a production run).
EDIT: Example:
Crystalline Carbonide Armor Plate Blueprint PE 24 ME 0 displays: prod time: 2minutes prod time (you): 2 minutes
on a character with Industry skill @ lv2 When the same character puts it into the production queue, it displays 2min9sec (2minutes is the base Industry 5 unresearched time for this BPO, 1min51 is what should be displayed with industry 2)

A couple of hundred hostiles, and no overview!

got disconnected a few times today, but apart from the jump clone timer all seems to work.
Quote from patch Notes: "Note, this change is undergoing testing: Inderdictors can be invented from Destroyers."
Did that get implemented?

The Auto Target System T1 blueprint is missing. Which seems odd as the T2 module was changed in the 2nd to last patch notes but its impossible to get/build a T2 module. Passive shield tanking guide click here |

Problem with downloading patch.
What ever way I try (automatic, manual with download manager or without it), download stops at 2% and stay there.

The following addition was made to the Patch Notes:
The Salvage Drone Operation skill was incorrectly added to TQ as a mission reward, and has been removed.
The Dev Team is discussing how to resolve the issue created by the untimely release of the skill to Tranquility. When a decision has been made, the community will be informed.
We apologize for the confusion resulting from the deployment and removal of the skill.

I have a small update for you all, due to a hardware issue we have experienced a lot of node deaths. This has been temporarily fixed, meaning we shouldn't have more node deaths due to this, and we will fix the hardware next week to get rid of it once and for all. A lot of the lag you may have experienced since startup is probably due to this issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

there was a treat about the new skil on your forums you could at least have said there that the skill would be removed.
And you could have left it in there, it is not like there are no other skills out there that do nothing, nor have done anything ever since they were in the game (like in 2003 or 2004)

I have reported a bug on more than one occasion which 'should' be under the 'Misc' heading, yet it's still not listed as a known issue. Why is it being ignored?
FOV is not being set correctly for widescreen setups. The wider your view the worse your barrel vision becomes. It's even evident at 1280x768, if you look close enough.

You should REALLY consider spending a day or so knocking a tool together, or even a feature element for on the My character pages to allow the exporting / importing of Overview settings :/ I'm not referring to UI / visual glitches, but the loss of overview settings during times where patches have trouble with existing Cache directories or where installs go badly or where people switch PC's, etc.
I know it is possible to back up the settings folders, but most of the time this results in errors in days of patches .. there's a ton more stuff in the char_* and user_*.dat files obviously but seriously, each patch it takes hours to set up a new overview setting for account.
I realise I am making it sound simple, but all that would be needed is a simple mechanism to export and import overview settings. If not for alleviating patch day/week issues :P consider it of educational value for the masses of recruits everywhere in EVE :-) Nothing fancy, just let us saveguard overview settings - which take considerable time and effort to set up per account - while staying clear from Cache & Machonet issues and glitch potentials.
It would make a difference. Otherwise, you could make people dance on the ceiling by allowing folks to do it themselves, look at how EVEmon has an impact on the communities of EVE.

Apart from the high number of disconnects...
I've experienced problems with info sheets. Sometimes they refuse to load. Also, for a long time my character sheet refused to display anything. This was after my last disconnect, so I'm unsure if this is directly related. Client restart seemed to take care of it. For now...

What exactly about the Salvage Drone Operation skill was considered an exploit, such that its impending removal could not have been announced days ago, rather than waiting until after the patch?

Aside from only 2 major disconnects, I'm having problems with the market. It doesn't refresh/update correctly when I click on an item in the list bar. Click on an item and it does NOTHING.
So I figured out how to manually refresh the market, click on a tab such as details then go back to the tab you were at and it shows you. But even worse, it doesn't tell you what item you've selected it doesn't show you at the top of the market window like it used to.
WHAT is WRONG with CCP?! DONT you EVER TEST ANYTHING?! If you TESTED this, you wouldn't HAVE so many freaking problems!

And what is the new reward for those missions ?
Not only is the time i (we) have spend for those missions now wasted. Also the time spend in training the skill to level 2 and the skillpoints !
Why remove a perfectly good skill, valueable to skill collectors only ? Whats next ? Remove frigates ?

No issues on 3 clients running from the very moment first 10 ppl logged on after the patch today. No overview bugs, market was a little laggy initially, but that was due to 40 people logging into jita every 5 seconds. Apart form the BPO issue (not 100% sure, so someone please feel free to correct me on that one) mentioned earlier by me on the 2nd page of this thread.
Also: all the spamemrs who think implementing code onto a live server is as easy and exactly the same as applyng it on entropy or sisi or any other simulated environment should really sit quiet, because you've no idea what you're talking about

Lots of people spent a lot of isk to get the salvage drone skilland train it, I appreciate it may have been a mistake but removing it is silly - this is the first time such a move has been made.
I think you should just put it back and if people want to waste time training it then that is up to them - it is not like they can do anyhting with it so why remove it.
