I have these issues on all of my accounts and on 4 different computers, ever since the last patch. I'm still getting the black screen of death when undocking from a station. I have tired clearing the cache, I've deleted my EVE folder and re-installed the client.
The Corp hanger still is stacking in single column. To fix the hanger I have to close the hanger and reopen it.

Not only is the time i (we) have spend for those missions now wasted. Also the time spend in training the skill to level 2 and the skillpoints !
Why remove a perfectly good skill, valueable to skill collectors only ?
The skill had zero benefit in-game, as Salvage Drones have not been released. We are still trying to determine what route to take in regards to the points/time invested by players who trained the skill.
That was a bad move. You should have left the skill in the game. There is no reason not to. Jump Drive Operation was in the game for YEARS before it could be used. ---

The overview bugs are just a gamestopper. How are we supposed to PVP without knowing what's in the area?
IMO this is the #1 most important bug in the game ATM.

new skill sheet option added: "only show skills that i can currently train"
might cause lots of confusion: it shows i can skill thingies such as - reverse engineering (rank 4) - remote interfaces (rank 4) - mnemonics (rank 2) - hypernet science (rank 5) - gunnery interfaces (rank 4) (advanced gunnery implants...?!) - diagnostics interfaces (rank4) - duplicating (rank4) and a couple more
and that's just my science skill tree o_O

The Salvage Drone Operation skill was incorrectly added to TQ as a mission reward, and has been removed.
The Dev Team is discussing how to resolve the issue created by the untimely release of the skill to Tranquility. When a decision has been made, the community will be informed.
We apologize for the confusion resulting from the deployment and removal of the skill.
I use to say CCP needs a effective and honest ETHICS department along with a true Human Resource REPS.
Plaese add a QA department also!

At no point in time have I stated the players who trained this skill are now "out of luck", only that the Devs are looking into how to resolve the issue.
As the situation stands at this time, the skill points and levels trained are not lost, the skill points and levels are still in the character's database entry. Disabling the skill removes its visibility on the character sheet and skill point totals.
If Salvage Drones are introduced into the game, the skill will be reactivated and be visible on the character sheet, in the skill point totals, on the market, etc. If Salvage Drones are taken off of the list of future features, those that trained the skill will be reimbursed in a manner equivalent to the time invested.

Originally by: CCP Zulupark Someone who has the Overview bug, please run a log server, restart your client and reproduce the bug.
Then file a bugreport as soon as possible, and the matter will be looked into with haste.
I have filed a bug report for this problem. I have no planets, station, gates, or ships available on my overview at all. Imagine flying as if the overview was not there at all, because that's how much information I have available right now.
I have not yet tried clearing out my cache. I hope to not take that step. ----

Originally by: Shamis Orzoz Are people still losing aggro after jumping? That issue is keeping freighters nearly invulnerable.
When did you not lose aggression flag after jumping? I couldn't find good info about pvp flag so I asked a GM and flag clearing when you change systems is how it works.
Anyway, in regards to the overview thing, has anyone found a solution? If you remake your overview settings, do they work correctly? Was anything added or removed from the overview settings that could cause old settings to make the client confused? I was out scouting today and couldn't call primaries cause when I switched to my pvp setting my overview went clear and wouldn't show anything (gates, etc.) even when I switched to alternative saved overview settings. Needless to say I cursed CCP a few times that hour.

So how about "looking into" the Snowball/Launcher nerf that happened a few patches ago when you sit down and look into this 'opps'. There were many people who lost time and ISK over that hidden nerf and never received one single ISK for stockpiles they bought an invested in.
Come on if you own up to this mistake then you better also be prepared to deal with some of the other fiascos that you guys have created.

I add my voice to those concerned about the theft of the books. The fact that I was finishing a 21 day skill meant that I hadn't started training yet. That doesn't mean that I didn't take the time to earn the book. I am deeply concerned by your careful replies that only acknowledge those who started training.

Originally by: Flap jak Edited by: Flap jak on 24/04/2007 20:42:53 when flying around out of station my screen has a glitch whenever i turn my camera in a certain direction.
the glitch makes my interface (EDIT actually it was everything! roids, rats, structures, gas clouds, other players ect.) disappear as if i did ctrl tab on top of that is stuttering and lag. when i move my camera back to were it was good everything is fine again.
so i'm kinda stuck looking in one direction and fighting my my overview only.
LATER: well i found it it wasnt a random spot i could be able to look at. its the sun. i cant look at the sun.
tried some basic things to see it would fix it (display settings, graphics, relogging ect.) nothing seemed to work.
anything i can do to help just ask! will do anything in my EVEly power to help progress this along to being fixed.
Well i reinstalled all my drivers, directx, adv eve settings, checked my hardware, and submitted a bug report with Log.
no change.

Originally by: Arion Daishi Since the patch, when moving or stacking items such as ammo, cans, mods, ect, the number displayed does not update.
Just to clarify, this was from a patch a week or so ago, the one that added the dropdowns to the windows. The full-sized icon view does not seem to have this issue, only the small icons and the list. A slightly better workaround is just changing the view, you don't need to close and re-open the window.
EVE actually gets more compelling with those full sized icons. The list is more functional but the large icons are really cool. :-)

Nice useful changes there, with the BPs, wars and skill sheet.
Could we have just one more filter in skill sheet, "Show skills that are not maxed", that would list only the skills that aren't at level 5. That'd be great.

Uh, don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but as far as I can tell every Player Built Manufacturing Outpost just gained an extra 10 slots that show up as a separate batch as if they were at a separate station. Did one of you slackers slip Kali 2.0 code into this patch? You guys really have to quit doing that.
Also, did Player Conquerable Manufacturing Outposts always have 50 slots?

I've been booted out of Eve four times since the patch this morning, once after surveying a dozen moons before I had a chance to write down the results I wasn't able to reconnect for at least a minute on some. I'm not sure about the last one, I just gave up.

I submitted a bug report as follows (only posting here in case someone else is having the same problem with the EVDO usb connection)
"I am using a Sprint EVDO USB wireless connection (broadband connection over the Sprint PCS network)
I was able to connect to Eve no problem before the patch. After the patch, when I first opened the client I would get the server status "x number of players", etc) but as I would login, the client would take an exceedingly long time to finish loading "Acquiring Bulk Data" then disconnect with the error message "Connection to server lost". At the exact same time this would happen, I would hear the tell tell beep tone in Windows indicating that the EVDO USB had disconected and my entire connection to the internet overall would end. This would only happen with Eve and no other program.
I reinstalled the EVDO USB card software and drivers and it still did the same thing. Then I downloaded the latest Eve client and reinstalled that, and still the same thing.
So then I disabled my (Norton) firewall, and I was able to login and play some. But not wanting to play without a firewall I removed my firewall Eve settings, then connected again forcing the firewall program to prompt me for allowing connection. This seemed to work for a while until I logged into my second account and for some strange reason, Norton firewall asked me if it should allow Eve to connect even though I already set permissions last time.
I approved it, but since then, about 5 minutes into the game, the client loses connection with the error message "Connection to server lost" and again at the exact same time I would hear the beep tone in Windows indicating that the EVDO USB had disconected and my connection to the internet overall would end. In some cases my whole computer would freeze and need a hard reboot. So I disabled my firewall entirely but it still disconnected and dropped my net connection (with the usb disconnection beeps) about 2-3 minutes into the game.
Again, this only happens with Eve and only since the patch, and I can do all other web activities. My guess is that Eve is doing something to force my USB connection to the net to drop. It is somehow related to the firewall since before I disabled it I could not get past "Acquiring bulk data" but after I could actually play a few min, and it seems that loggin into my second account triggered something too."

Regarding the overview problem, if you either recreate your overview settings and save over the current stored version, it appears to resolve the issue. Alternatively, you can try clearing your cache (yes all of it). There have been reports of the issue returning after a while though. We are still working on finding a full fix for this situation.

I would like to know where my salvage drone operations skillbooks have gone? I spent a lot of time acquiring multiple copies of these skill books and I was yet to train it. Now all the books have been deleted, I have nothing to show for a few nights work. If salvage drones are seeded will I see something to recompensate me? Will I get my books back?

All day long I've been thinking "I know I've forgotten something." and thanks to this thread I now know what it was.
Originally by: CCP kieron If Salvage Drones are taken off of the list of future features, those that trained the skill will be reimbursed in a manner equivalent to the time invested.
Would it be feasible in that scenario for those of us whom have trained the skill to be contacted and given the choice of where to direct an equivalent reimbursement within our mental portfolio?
