PI languishes under the same click-fest that it has had for years.
Even moon mining (one of the more complex aspects of the game) is receiving much needed attention with the drilling platforms.
My guess is that even the engineers and artists at CCP don't know where to begin a pass at PI. (*/end sarcasm*)
Wasn't sure where to place PI in the list of forum discussion complaints. |

What's so difficult about PI? Login every 10-30 days and collect your wares. Took me all of 30 minutes to setup 4 operations earlier today that will run for 6 days without interruption. Browse each, launch and then collect with a Blockade Runner. Easy-peasy.
I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Multiple improvements can and should be done to the way PI is setup.
Yes, I agree PI is very easy once it is established. However the methodology of construction needs an update. |

I think people forget that "PI" was a part of a much larger plan to expand the scope of EVE and tie it in with DUST (eventually we were going to be able to fight over people's Colonies). The overall plan for that kind of interaction has been mostly scrapped, PI is a legacy left over, like COSMOS (another thing that hasn't been updated in nearly a decade).

You mean those things which are probably never going to exist along with observation arrays and player built stargates? |

Welcome to EVE. I wonder if we'll ever get them to remove PI altogether. The PI that was announced is NOT the PI we've got, and we're never going to get the good version. The current version has no meaningful gameplay (the best thing anybody has to say about it is that you DON'T have to play with it and still get basically free isk), no meaningful interactions. It's decidedly non-EVE. Maybe they'll decide it's not worth the trouble to maintain and they'll just move PI mats to exploration sites like everything else.
Maxim 6. If violence wasnGÇÖt your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

At this point I doubt it, you see that COSMOS is still around lol. I think it's always just going to be what it is right now, not scrapped but not improved upon either. |

They can't scrap it now with how many things require PI material to be made. |

While I agree that the PI UI needs a rework I really don't think CCP should be prioritizing it over the scanning interface or other more commonly used things. PI really is a fire and forget thing and people use it very infrequently, whereas the scanning window is used everyday by thousands of people.
IMO if CCP is going to do a pass on the PI UI they should be doing a pass on PI in general to make it more interesting since the DUST tie-in is completely removed now. |
