Edited by: Aykido on 25/04/2007 17:54:18 Maybe I am just unlucky since the patch.
But with encryption 5 and all relevant skills at 4-5 my success ratio has dropped down alarmingly after Rev 1.4.2
Where I was having 75-90% success rate on various modules (depending on decryptors/meta items) before the patch;
I have run 16 jobs since the patch with only 4 successes Thats only 25% success rate.
If this is happening accross the board, very few items are worth inventing any more.
Have other inventors experienced the same?

I don't think it has anything to do with the patch. With module invention I normally get a period where as good as all jobs succeed, and then a longer period with not a single success. Overall, I think I had around 75% success with modules with all skills at lvl4. Training the encryption skill to lvl5 now, so soon I'll know if that really makes a difference...I hope it does, because training those science skills are a bit of a pain for a PVP pilot
With ship invention, it's even more extreme. Sometimes a few jobs after another succeed, just to have 7-8 jobs fail afterwards. At the moment I got a 30% success rate with Vaga invention. _______________

We have the same problem .. before patch, we had a success rate of roughly 50% .. since the patch we're below 20% on module invention.

My success rate with modules a couple weeks ago was in the 60% range using non-named t1 (meta level 0), then overnight (no announced patch) it dropped to about 30% for 20 or so jobs.
I switched to using a meta level 3 item and in the past several days have had 61 out of 108 jobs succeed for a 56% success rate. Today and yesterday it has been 30/45 or 66%, so I don't see a problem with the patch.

So you stole out luck then
sounds as if we're just unlucky at the moment, so there's hope.

Come on guys! After every patch someone pops out a few jobs that fail and come here screaming "nerf!!!".
As usual ther is no basis for the claim. It seems that very few here understands how large a sample you really need to say anything certain about current succes chances.
Based on the jobs ive done (which is about 20 atm, so nothing at all usefull for statistics) I should run here screaming that chances of succes are way up!
