Specks of Kyonoke germs will not be effective against ULTRAs or Pod Pilots.
If you suffer from this mortal plague it is because your binary theorems to proofs are not updated in your subconscious data cache supplied to your new clone and kept updated to the cloud by CONCORD.
If you are a victim of prehistoric tech update at the Medical Bay and facilities.
In the mean time I have dispatched drones who carry information about the disease to as many Eve-Gates as can be reached with information regarding it's spread rate and characteristics as a bio hazard.
The gate will be updated to discombobulate the cellular structure and turn it into a blemish/pimple on your skin.
It will dry into a scab and fall off in your kit while working.

Hey, I'm holding on to hope. Otto's messages keep getting shorter and.. well, at least marginally more coherent. I think whatever treatment he's getting is slowly kicking in.

About as much as the Amarr regret that Ottom came from their gnome.

Are you really saying that sharing a somewhat crazy person's ethnicity is similar to letting him become your organization's most recognizable face, pilot?
That ... seems ...
(Also, uh, I apologize for pointing this out, I think you mean "genome." A gnome is I think a term for a kind of nature spirit that appears in some cultures.)
(Mr. Ephesianos coming from an Amarrian gnome is kind of a great image, though.) |

Saying Mister Ephesianos is small minded is one thing, but calling him a gnome is downright insulting.
Downright insulting to the gnomes that is. They probably don't want to be associated with Mister Ephesianos! |

Well-- only, saying the Mr. Ephesianos we know "came from an Amarrian gnome" doesn't necessarily mean that he is one, Ms. Ruil. It seems like there are a few different ways of interpreting it. I kind of like the ambiguity. |

Wrong. Like, super wrong, turbo wrong, ultra maximum wrong.
Pod pilots rely on scanning the brain for their pseudo-immortality. The brain is an arrangement of neurons, which are in themselves an arrangement of proteins.
The Kyonoke agent directly attacks the arrangement of proteins in the brain, which then affects the configuration of neurons, which then alters the brain scan data pattern.
If a pod pilot becomes infected with the Kyonoke agent, their only option is to restore their brain from an archived backup copy, not from their currently existing brain.
You sir, are not only wrong, you are so wrong that you are not just an enemy of the Amarr Empire, not just an enemy of the Amarr religion(s), but wrong enough to be an enemy of humanity itself.
You damn fool, you'll wipe civilisation out.

Ottos with Graelyns aside, excuse me for the slight off-topic, but Dr. Valate's answer made me think about the problem of infecting capsule pilots.
And my question is: how do you think, is Kyonoke agent able of penetrating through the capsule to infect the pilot, or while the pilots stay inside the hermetically sealed pod, they are absolutely safe even in the infected environment (as station air)?

So-- apparently the SOCT's containment methods, whatever they are, work. If the pods use similar environmental sealing, which isn't impossible, they might be protected.
However, there's nothing that necessarily prevents a speck (or a few billion of them) from alighting on the outside of your pod and staying there, which has the potential to make your pod, itself, a vessel for the plague, even if you never open it. If that happened, it's likely that you'd become infected almost at once when you decanted from your pod.
That's if it was, itself, secure. So, it's maybe not a thing to be all blithe about. |
