I just blew an ammarian convoy to bits and am stuck with a batch of slaves who survived. Seems to me I have nothing to do with them and they seem to be illegal to be in position of :S So what do I do? Is there some way to convert them to "freed slaves"? I can't just jettson them or tuck them away in some hangar to die eventually of old age or led poisoning from eating leftover ammo... :O Ooops...
Well...just wondering since there is something called "freed slaves" in the game - so I figured it was logical to be able to "free" those who are just "slaves"... :P

There's a loyalty point offer from agents where if you bring them slaves they pay you and give you freed slaves. Apparently, the game is designed so that there is a path through the stargates where there are no customs agents guarding. So if you scouted the gates in advance, you could figure out which route to take to avoid all customs officials (which are the guys who bust you when you have illegal stuff). I don't know anyone who actually does that though. ----------------------------------------------------

Recent thread on freeing slaves.
As Farellus said, there are some agent missions which involve freeing slaves. Also, some Minmatar (roleplaying) corporations such as Ushra'Khan will collect slaves from you (in essence, 'freeing' them) and give them an education and a new home in the Republic. -----

Make sure to let them know what you're doing otherwise you may get shot on the way there.
Mind you there was an incident where some new player asking the same question on the forum was asked by an Ushra'Khan member to bring his slaves to a station in their space and was killed in a Ushra'Kahn gatecamp about 4 jumps out.

I'm also told that, in a pinch, slaves make very good emergency reactor shielding...

The Liberty Network is still going strong.
There are ex-slave repatriations going on constantly. Why, just last week an operation completed... though unfortunately there were casualties.

Player-owned corporations? Isn't that a nice, easy setup for someone to get slaves from "RP players" and sell them on the market for "non-RP profit"?
