I wish CODE would stop, but that probably won't happen until CCP declares CODE threads like AFK Cloaker threads. More than enough examples of how this entire thread will play out are available to be searched on the forms. At some point, it is okay to stop having the same conversation over and over and over again. How's your CODE. alt faring?
I haven't touched it Dom. I still find EvE to be a bit intimidating. Plus, NITC school started.
I didn't say I had a problem with CODE, Dom. I merely said that the... Forum meta is silly, and gives the impression of a circle-jerk.

Aiwha wrote:So divide that number by the alpha of a talos.
Why a talos? Pick a .5 system as they have better planets. Get in Coercers as dessies cost far less and this would be a DPS race, where you get as much DPS in. Plus I believe customs office have standard resists so using EM for the shields is best.
Once the shield hits 25% it enters reinforcement more. After the wait return with coercers till the shield is down then catalysts most likely for armor and hull.
The real danger though would be CCP. Given the ships required, you would trigger enourmous concord spawns which could overload the system. In the least you should petition ccp to reinforce the more and warn them of the action. Otherwise they may get mad for the excessive lag created. |

Beast of Revelations wrote:...then why do they allow the plethora of POCOs, player-owned structures, and whatever else to exist in their space? Do all of these things exist with CODE's blessing? Does CODE enforce a tribute payment system (a tax) in order to place and operate structures in their space?
I'm actually not [necessarily] bashing CODE here. I'm not a miner, and I've never lost anything to CODE to my knowledge. I'm simply saying, you don't truly 'own' highsec... unless and until you actually, well, 'own' it. So if structures and whatever else exist in highsec without your blessing, I would say to CODE - 'get to work.' Start enforcing your will. Back up your claims of highsec ownership. Then my hat will be off to you. Otherwise... not so much.
I have no idea whether this question has been posted on the forums or not before. But I personally haven't seen it. It's a question that popped into my head is all.
Well the issue here is the postulation that CODE. actually do / believe the things they say they do / believe. You must remember that CODE. are role players who say a lot of things that fit in with their role play. They don't own anything or they'd be in nulsec with the other players who "own" space.
Please quit listening to rubbish in hisec local and talking on the forums as if it's meaningful, it is not

In fact, the answer to the OP's 'question' is contained in the Code, in the FAQ section. I quote:
Q: Who are you? Anyone can claim to own a highsec system. I can say I own everything in EVE!
A: ...When a miner is bumped out of mining range, he no longer has the ability to mine--and he does not even get a share of the ore/ice he mined from earlier in the laser's cycle, when he was in range. Therefore, I can stop people from mining whenever I want. Since the miners want to mine ice, and since I alone decide whether or not they can, I command them. It's really that simple.
Q: HA HA I am mining ice right now, you can't stop me!
A: As Supreme Protector, some may expect me to doggedly enforce the rules at all times against all offenders. This is a misperception of my role. Aside from those who have purchased indulgences, I will bump whomever I choose, whenever I choose. Your mining operations are entirely at my mercy. If I feel like stopping you from mining, I will; if not, I won't.
The New Order governs Highsec in accordance with the Code. It's entirely up to our members whether or not they enact its provisions - and to what extent.
The Code will change your life; only you can make that a good thing or a bad thing. |

You and your sig make them win all the time, make them relevant. That makes me wonder if you are more the Don Quijote or the Agent Provocateur kind of poster. Only way to get rid of things like CODE. would be to ignore them collectively until they get bored and move on to something else. And we both know that is not ganna happen. More like people make it to easy for them to carry on. No matter how stupid the provocation is, there are always more than enough players going all crazy about it. |

CODE never owned high-sec and barring major game changes, never will either. The game does not really let you own that part of space.
On the other hand, they do enforce their rules over it to some extend with some degree of success which is probably higher than most group did before. They reach most of their stated objectives as long as they don't overshoot. |
