Only thing I would say to really make this program useful is a way to get data from several regions at once.
Other than that it seems like a good program. It only uses 1 core on a CPU so it will not interfer with Eve to much.

I installed the application, pasted the url into the address bar, and followed the instructions to trust the website. After that, I clicked the "here" link, and was redirected to the first page, with no additional options. Did I miss something?

Go to the IGB's options and check if http://localhost:9999/ is trusted. I had to manually set it to trusted there even after checking the "remember box" when querried the first time.

Got this working last night, after manually trusting the site. My friend had to do the same. Not sure why the link isn't working.
A request I would like to make, if you're making changes anytime soon:
I play 3 toons, all of which live in different regions. I'd like for the app to be able to import reports from all three accounts, and show the trade routes accordingly. Some thoughts about this: Use a shared drive and a bat file to copy all reports to one directory - I don't mind doing this work myself. The app looks in various subdirectories that I can configure either in game, or out. This would be better, because it would -just work- after initial setup. Add in a toggle for max jumps.
Thanks, you've done a great job on it so far. Once I build up my stash, Ill send a thank you your way :)

Hi, the program seems user-friendly, but it doesn't work for me now.
The NavBot just said no any market data even though I had exported a lot of data. I am using Vista and the location of storing Market log is "C:\Users\(my user name)\Documents\EVE\logs\Marketlogs" I guess the NavBot just use the winXP "document and settings" folder, and it will be great if you add a config that can set the folder manually.

I clicked "setup.exe" and I can start NavBot with the previos probem,
after i closed it and clicked "NavBot_1_0_0_9.application" i found that there is a box prompted to change the path, but it will say an error and cannot start NavBot. And if I click start at tray it will say error.
I tried restart the comp and just run "NavBot_1_0_0_9.application", and it still say the same error, even I use admin account it is still the same, so here is the error:
System.Net.HttpListenerException: Access is denied。 at System.Net.HttpListener.AddAll() at System.Net.HttpListener.Start() at EveMarketTool.PageServer..ctor() at NavBot.InitialForm.TryToStartNavBot()
and I am using Vista (32-bit).

Hi everybody, thanks for the great feedback!
Sha: could you post the region you're working in to the blog? I'll lose track of it here.
Lord Simian (and anyone else wanting to pick a new directory): you can edit the directory used under the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NavBot (use regedit.exe). I didn't expect anyone would want to use more than one directory, or a non-default directory. I'll put an option to get the window back up in the next revision!
Everyone in general: I'll have no internet access *sob* until the end of August, will try to get you a new revision shortly after that though, so post any feature requests or bug reports to the blog!
Until then, happy trading! -- Tejar

I checked with regedit and Navbot correctly picked up the Vista marketlogs folder for me, so that shouldn't be a problem.
As others have noted the browser does need to have 'trusted site' set manually, which isn't obvious. --- Trikassi Enterprises, oiling the jumpgates of commerce since 2004 |

i checked the registry and confirmed that the path is correct. However, the NavBot keep asking me to export while I already have a lot of exported file. I can use other trade route program and they works fine for me, I have no idea why NavBot is not working.
I starts the program by double clicking setup, then go in the game and paste the address http://localhost:9999, the site is already trusted so I saw the menu with two options:
1. Good! Let's see what you have for me today, then... 2. First, I'd like to see a list of the market reports we already have.
Aftter I clicked 1, I can enter cargo and isk. Then I clicked use these settings and the screen is same as before:
Ok, let's get some market data! Just open the Market and change the range filter to 'Region'. Now pick an item, click on the 'Details' tab and click on the 'Export to file' button. Do this with as many items as you like! I recommend things from the 'Trade Goods' section, like Carbon, Antibodies and Reports. Come back here when you're done!
I try to export some market data, but then it is still the same screen.
Now I go back to the main menu and try the option 2, it will said:
Actually, captain, we don't have any market reports at the moment. To download some, use the "Export Data" button in the market.
1. OK, I've exported some market reports - show me what we've got!
no matter how many exports I did it still give the same result.

I get an error in the game browser:
Value Error
invalid literal for int() with base 16: ''
I have never used this before. I DL'd the zip. Created a folder on my desktop. Then unpacked the zip file into this folder. Hit the install. NavBot icon sits in my systray and says that I can see it through game browser, but it doesn't work.

This has worked quite well for me. Although it seems to reach critical mass at about 15 regions of exports, and goes from taking a few seconds to calculate to several minutes. Also some of the jump calculations are off. It will say I am 4 systems over when I am only one or that it is 20 jumps on the route when it is 14. Also it would be useful if it checked the high sec routes for jumping through low sec systems.

I've been using it for a couple of weeks and I'm seeing the exact behavior described above after today's patch.

Hi everyone, sorry for the problems. The latest patch changed the format of the market export filenames, upsetting NavBot. I've just uploaded a fully compatible revision F for your enjoyment.
If you've had problems with the path to the market logs, or have seen crashes when trying to search for routes, this is the version to get.
If you have any problems with this version, please post them either here or to the blog
Happy trading! Tejar

Sorry if someone already answered this and I just missed it, but is there a way to view any more trades other than the highest profit one? i.e. I want to see something that starts closer to where I am, ideally in my home system.

Showing more results of each type are on the list of things to do. If you've got any C# experience, you can join the project and help out - it wouldn't be hard!

Thought I'd give this a try. Works very nicely. Great interface.
Suggestions to improve it. --------------------------
Needs (desperately) to calculate the TAX in the isk/warp!!!
With a trip earning 400k, I had 300k in taxes because of the volume and cost of the goods.
Also needs more routes displayed.
Also, when limit is availablity, and significant cargo space remains, it should check along the route of flight for extra loads to fill the deadheading.
Example: I had a run from a system 14 jumps away. During that run, I entered a system with a zero warp trade route that happened to be displayed (so I did that, and in looking I noted that the starting system of the big run was paying MORE for the electronic parts I just bought. So I hauled them there since I needed to go there anyway.
Not sure how easy that is to program though.
Overall, an excellent start to what will be a very useful tool.
