Quote: NEW CALDARI - Almost two billion protestors returned to work this morning, after a statement released by the Chief Executive Panel gave further details of the ongoing situation in Oijanen II.
Footage released anonymously to the Scope was branded as "heavily edited, sensationalist tabloid reporting" by the Chief Executive of Lai Dai, with several representatives from the Nugoeihuvi News Network commenting that the footage in no way represented the situation on the ground in the city of Myrskaa.
The CEP was also notified this morning of intended actions by megacorporations across the State that have forced protestors back to work by empowering employers to terminate work contracts with individuals seen to be "inciting, promoting, participating in, or enabling civil unrest". The move comes after an anonymous leak from the House of Records revealed that almost forty trillion kredits of value has been wiped off the Caldari stock market due to a downturn of manufacturing and raw materials output over the course of the last two days of protests.
As news broke of actions taken by megacorporations across the State, trade union representatives and civil rights experts in both the Federation and Republic denounced the move, branding it "ridiculous corporate strong-arming" and "violation of the right to freedom of speech and expression."
Workers across the State returned to their jobs this morning, with no further acknowledgement from the Chief Executive Panel.

It looks like the situation has worsened at home after some pro-gallentean activists published a fake feed from the city of Myrskaa, and other agents instigated acts of civil disobedience among our citizens.
Such behavior must not stand. Citizens of the State are known for working for common good and our corporations, who shouldn't make any stupid protests against something happened in some city, especially if it was edited. We are not gallenteans for this.
We shall support decisions of Megacorporations in their resolve to take down such unrest at any means necessary. Those, who were doing it shall be fired and I'd add - even detained. As a captain of a space ship, I declare, that any of my crew that would be found in such activity will be immediately detained and court-martialled for high treason.
This declaration was read today morning to all crews of ships under my command and I urge other captains to follow my example.
Harsh methods must be taken, and the spread of such pro-gallente plague of disobedience must be stopped.
Freedom of speech and expression are abhorrent practices and will not be tolerated in civilized parts of our cluster.
Glory to the State!

An interesting political move from the Federation would be to offer asylum and benefit stipend to any Caldari laid off for this reason. Being effectively stripped of your citizenship for getting upset that your friends or family are dying behind a seemingly pointless information blackout is likely to drive even a Caldari towards cynicism for ones government. |

Pretty much all the families and friends of those, who are inside the city, are inside the city as well. Besides, it is pretty much given, that people inside quaranteened zone will most likely die due to nature of the plague. It doesn't give excuse to anyone to disrupt function of the State. These people are troublemakers and must be dealt with. If the Federation wants to collect this scum, we won't stop them. After all, Federation is already a bucket for humans who can be considered a waste of our cluster.

Ffs. You can't accept that these are humans we are dealing with and not mindless drones, can you Kimmy?
