Example Fighter UI
Just a quick concept I threw together, pushing my Photoshop skills to their limits.
Each squadron has its own orbit, keep at range, and recall buttons. Then, added to the left column of buttons, I've included orbit and keep at range buttons for selected squadrons.
Maybe CCP wants fighter management to be a tedious process. But, in case they don't, I'm promoting this as an extension to what we have now.
Thanks for reading!

Fighter management isn't tedious enough to justify cluttering the UI with buttons for orbit and keep at range when we already have buttons for those things.

FTFY
In all seriousness, CCP has an isk problem atm. They posted record profits last year due to skill injecting addictions and a fun war. Now that a generous amount of new cap pilots have entered the fold, they will lose said profits this year unless they nerf the isk income. That's the real reasoning behind Rorq's nerfs as well since some of the changes make no sense and have only created a vitriolic response from the majority of long term players. |

Supported. What I would like to see the most, though, are buttons to activate an entire row of fighter functions. For instance, when I recall all my fighters for rearming, I have to press each MWD individually to start it. Would be so great if I could activate all MWDs with one button. Or when you want to attack something with all three fighters' standard weapons you have to click them individually because F1-3 activates them and the special weapons, which is not what I want. Could be a lot more convenient with buttons that activate the entire row.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Great suggestion!
CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Thank you for the kind words; and yes, even the critical input.
If I really had my way... The UI would also give me direct visual indication of Fighter damage in percentage, at the very least; if not actual health bars. The hovering thing is meh when you've got your tooltip delay set high. |

Why don't you go fix that for them by blasting holes in people using swarms of frigates?
In all seriousness, destroyed items = less net income. This means CCP's issue would be fixed and the economy would be more driven.
I'd support this for drones as well. It's a pain in the rear for me to divvy up my drones on different pirates quickly. |
