Dscan and Probe scanner have suddenly started being closed by default so I have to open them every time I undock. Why has this changed ? there is no activity in Eve that I do where these scanners are not open. I now have to open them both about 20 times an hour |

That's so annoying, undock can't see anything scan is closed. Why can't they just leave the scanner alone the new thing is a fail nobody uses it ? |

On the subject of things that didn't need removing why did they change the fitting window so it no longer shows you what the CPU and PG would be if you fitted a module when you hover it? |

Isn't there a close window cross in the top right? Click "open in separate window" icon to get the lists out of the map window then close the map as you would normally.
And it will stay like that too! |

It took me all of .5 seconds to figure that out logging in after the patch. I cannot fathom how this is baffling so many people. |

The uncoupling of the map isn't an issue |

That doesn't make it as before it still closes every time you dock/log out |

Hmm, I am not having that issue. I detached the scan interface from the map window and put it in the corner of the screen where I used to have it and then closed the map window. Now it pretty much works same as before. |

Do you understand what I am saying ? When you undock in an area where you use dscan you need to use it immediately when you undock. So it is inconvenient that it closes every time you dock which it didn't prior to the patch. |

I won't be able to test this right away due to alcohol consumption, but have you tried to clear the game cache to make sure you don't have a hung setting?

Best time to test these things IMO. Usually in your shiniest ship, the one with the expensive modules on it. And test it in a wormhole or nullsec or something for bonus points. |

The only things I did after the patch was pop the probe and d-scan windows out of the map, and then move the d-scan window to the bottom of the screen because ccp decided to move the scan button to the bottom of the window (otherwise the scan button risks being overlapped if I temporarily have some other large window open).
The d-scan stays open all the time by itself as it used to.

I have made some people some very happy killmails. I once made 6 jumps through low-sec in an Orca... my corp mates lost their minds... and I lived! I have a drunkem dream of visiting all the system in EVE in a Fenrir... but I don't think I can live that long.

Yeah, after unhooking it from the map, it literally is EXACTLY like it was before the patch. |

what people are failing to realize is this is a problem with the legacy d-scan. This has nothing to do with new d-scan. Those of us who dont use the new d-scan are having our d-scan close everytime you dock/undock.
very annoying to have to re-open it 300 times a day |

You can confirm that it doesn't affect the new dscan ?
because it was doing it to the new dscan also when I tried it . |

The problem is with the probe scanner. Directional persists if i have it open, but probe scanner closes every session change. Using the old setup by the way, esc menu > general settings > unchecked the try new things box.
Been using the old directional and probe scanner for years now, putting the scan button on the bottom of the new scanner is a troll. Having to hit Alt+P every time i want to see anoms or sigs is just an inconvenience.

Well they still haven't fixed this . It's a major pain if you are using a laptop and you need your setup windows to be neatly fitted into the limited screen space. It's also a total pain when you are being station camped and you need to have some idea what is going on around you within the time it takes them to lock and shoot you on the undock. |
