... do I have to pay for a jump clone EACH time I jump back and forth, even though they are always in their respective stations they were created? For example, I have a system in hisec I use as a home base there, and created a jump clone. Cost me 900k ISK. I have a nullsec home, and I created a clone there, cost me 300k ISK because of the settings in that citadel. Jumping between the two still costs me ISK. Why? I don't recall that being the way it was done prior to the change in jump clone mechanics. |

If jump costs of less than a million isk are hurting your wallet. Or even noticeable for that matter. You got bigger problems mate.
As for why. Consider it a "parking fee" your leaving your clone installed at that station for future use. When you jump to a clone and make it active, it is no longer installed at the station and so you need to pay again to park it.
Also isk sinks. The game needs more of them. |

Why...? Cant you title a thread appropriately?
Its the cost of a jump clone, and service. Did you expect a one-off lifetime payment package for infinite jump clones?

ISK sink, got it. Thanks for the only non-sarcastic answer. To the rest of the lot, this isn't C&P. You don't have to make the rest of the forums a hostile place. And AGAIN, it's not about the cost. Any newbro can recoup the cost in less than two trips to a starter system veldspar belt in a venture. |

Yes to incentivize people to use the clonebays in citadels, where you can switch clones as often as you want for the price the owner sets. In alliances often 0 isk.
So they made new toys, and want to give the people who uses them some advantage in comparisson to those who prefer the safety of NPC stations. That is when the extra tax came, together with the citadels

Just fly there. It's cheap. Maybe ccp discovered someone was using it to teleport and increased the ISK to check and sees that same guy is now fine with using a shuttle to go back and forth. |

Well, the guy who own the clone storage bussiness has five kids to feed and a greedy gold digger as wife, also he has to pay al the minium wagers he calls employees and that all around New Eden. As next he has to grease the Fire and building inspectors, the trade unions and so on and so forth. And do you know how much New Eden Care costs? Do you?
Have you seen Robocop? Many people don't know that it's actually a documentary.

Its fee for electricity for security drones. If you dont pay them, someone may walk into the storage, **** on your clone or maybe even put something in its mouth and make a photo, of course when its uncoscious.

I can see a simple ISK sink reason as just one but maybe another could be to have a trail on your wallet history for API checking reasons? I can't say I can think of any other reason.

We do not need more ISK sinks.

There is that, but I was thinking of the last Economic Report from CCP Quant.
The money supply is not growing and we have deflation.
