Why am I a pod pilot? When I first started as a fresh pilot out from the academy I spent hours and hours exploring and making money in the endless world of EVE. I tried mining and got myself a barge. I tried trading and got myself a Badger. And finally I got stuck with missions.
So now when I'm flying around in my Nighthawk fully fitted with T2 equipment making million after million soloing level 4 missions I suddenly got bored.
So I took my little bird and flew away out in to the deeps of the pure blind. I spend way to few hours acctually doing anything good with my ship to get accepted into a real corporation or alliance. So I'm on my own. I really need to do something with my EVE life before I call it quits and sell all my property and finds a nice little casino somewhere to spend the rest of my life. Help me find a purpose with my life before I get gate camped somewhere!

People aren't mean in 0.0, they just know how to play the game properly. Grow some balls and take that bird into PVP. Its what the games about, NPCing is boring, how can it not be.
If you cant pluck up the courage to fight another player in Eve then quit now. Eve isn't about ISK, it's about fun. If you don't realize that then again, quit now.

level 4? NPC? I think certain people need to get back in touch with reality...

I, too, am curious about the reference to NPC. However, the Level 4 reference is quite easily understood, though only because I pay attention to my fellow pilots. The various agents will, after all, send you on missions for which they think you are capable. I believe that Oscar is merely lumping the various difficulties of these missions into broad categories. I have heard other pilots make these distinctions, as well, so am somewhat familiar with this practice.

Edited by: El Sayal on 02/05/2007 12:41:38 Well that explains one of them, i am also disturbed by the comments regarding 'Game' and 'Quit EVE' how does one quit a universe? i'd assume he meant death, but with clones thats not such a permanent measure...

Perhaps he suffers from a mental illness that comes from those wretched Amarr created Holoreels. I heard the bastards use them to "train" their slaves.
If you are still a free man Oscar you perhaps can go to the recruitmentdepartment in this building and lookup the rooms of the Ushra'Khan. It will certainly give your life new purpose and you can get even with those Amarrians who did this to you.

There is but one question to every Pod pilot out there: Do you have honour or not?
If not, go mind your business, live your insignificant life, not caring about the fate of others. If you have honour you cannot be ignorant to the epic suffering of our brothers. You have been granted a privilege by becoming a pod pilot. You should not disregard it by using it for lower purposes. You should honour it by taking on an enemy overwhelming in power yet futile in his attempts to win this battle. The Sanshas are nightmares and the Serpentis are criminals but they have no significance. Only in true fighting you will find a purpose. The way of the Blade is the only way that will fill your soul.

He quickly picks up on a previously monitored thread, and begins listening intently, while he begins making some adjustments to a number of dials and settings and cleaning up the transmission.*

Well, my first question is: What part of "no security" are you having trouble with? It IS a jungle out there, and I've learned this myself, an agent fed bankroll ain't gonna cut it when you're swimming with the sharks.
Its not to say everyone's gonna be gunning for you in no sec, but you're never going to be in a system where noone will be gunning for you.
The best way is to look and see who's recruiting, or find a group that runs an open station and get to know people. Its a blast out there when you get into things, but its not easy to get into. Just the way things work.
This is my sig, there are many others just like it. With me, my sig is worthless. Without (or with even) my sig, I am worthless... |

On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing wrong with spending the rest of your life in a casino (please make certain that it is run by a Federation sanctioned corporation, that way you can be certain that the ISK you lose will be donated to a suitable charity).

I was unaware that the pockets of various Fedo politicians and officials was now considered a suitable charity. ----
