I'M BOYCOTTING GARBAGE KILLBOARDS LIKE ZKILLBOARD FROM NOW ON
ZKILLBOARD SUPPORTS EXPLOIT AND GLITCH KILLMAILS THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED - IF THE GAME KICKS YOU OUT AND YOU DIE WHILE OUT OF THE GAME, THEY SUPPORT THAT AS A LEGITIMATE "KILL"MAIL
"KILLS" AREN'T EARNED ON THESE KINDS OF KILLBOARDS
YOU HAVE ONE SHIP DEAD - AND FIFTY PEOPLE WHO WHORED ON THE KILLMAIL EACH GET A "KILL" ACCORDING TO THIS GARBAGE KILLBOARD
let me clarify in case your slow brains are incapable of comprehending this - that's ONE ship dead, ONE kill, yet however many people shot/ewar'd/sneezed at him along the way, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM get a "kill".
IT'S ONE BIG CIRCLE JERK FOR EVE CAREBEARS TO PRETEND THEY ARE GOOD AT PVP - that's exponential kill multiplication of one kill based on however many players happened to whore on it, how is it even possible that anyone thinks this is okay?
It means that everyone in a blob fight comes out the winner, because mathematically (according to zkillboard), if it's a 100vs100 fight, and everyone dies, and everyone "whored" on everyone else's "kill", then that means every single player in this 200 player battle got 100 "kills" - 200 times 100 is 20,000, that's 20,000 "kills", according to this dumb website, based on 200 actual kills, because every one of these players (who maybe did 1% of the damage or slapped an ewar on) gets a "kill". HAHAHAHAHAHA what a load of BS, my goodness
the fact that anyone even uses this killboard is a joke.
YOU DIDN'T "KILL" ANYBODY BY SLAPPING AN EWAR ONTO THEM AND WHORING ON THE KILLMAIL, IF YOU THINK YOU DID, YOU'RE TRASH, GTFO |

So go make your own, and make sure only the person with the max damage gets the entry. Not quite sure how you can boycott a service you don't pay for. |

There really is no other way to see who 'deserves' the kill mail. Top damage is in its own parameter and therefore can be parsed into some data.
Just forget the inaccuracies and settle yourself on high whoreing mails as a sign of high participation numbers. I, on the other hand, really do enjoy the odd km here and there that can tell a story in itself.
Once, I held tackle on a boosted and pilled up Hawk with an AB active rep Comet with high kinetic resists. I had something stupid like 12k dmg on it but the other friend who got there to help me top him off got the km with 500 dmg. He doesn't play anymore and isn't registered to eve-kill, so sadly I can't look it up from there. I have to fish it out of my notebook in-game of freak km's. Or maybe I'm just remembering how it used to be.. Anyway, it was a pretty hilarious fight with my trusty NOS and repair implants. |

The question is " how would you do it? "
1. Final blow - I have final blow with a tiny tiny hit, guy with 99% Damage gets screwed and it just comes down to RNG for most KMs. 2. Highest damage - So the guy with the Dread or Super (or just the higher damage line men) gets all the KMs while the Logis and tackle get nothing. 3. Some crazy unrealistically complicated look at each battle and who was the most critical pilot in the kill. I support this one but its not realistic.
There is no good way to do it so everyone just uses the metrics that keeps everyone happy (Other than you). |

FINAL BLOW IS THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT - WHOEVER GOT THE FINAL BLOW IS THE ONE WHO GOT THE KILL, THERE'S NO DEBATE HERE, ANYTHING ELSE IS JUST STUPIDITY. |

The game already gives killmails only to the deliverer of the final blow. Go into your character sheet and find your personal kills. Only the ones you got the final hit will show. Problem solved. |
