I've seen a few post's regarding this subject, and I'm curious.
Quote:The new system must support gameplay for many different types of players
So where exactly does this apply for the little guy?
I dare say I am not the only person with limited play time. I'm certainly not the first or last Pirate. And definatley not on my own when it comes to not choosing Belt mining or Mission running as a career.
So how exactly do the proposed changes to "Moon mining" and "reaction's" affect/benefit/entice people like me to continue with it.
I have a small corp, mostly alts. I'm happy with that. I'm happy ganking small stuff, the occasional nicer more expensive ship and certainly loosing some nice stuff too. But all I can see is my isk making being taken away and being forced into something I've not already chosen as a career.
Tell me how me/my corp is supposed to compete with a larger corp/alliance when they want moon X because my refinery is already there? As quoted above "Must support gameplay for many differant types of player"
So are you forcing me to increase my corp size?
I currently have about 20b isk invested in tower's, modules, moon goo and the like. Aside from the goo, whats to become of the POS and fittings? Is there going to be some form of CCP buy back? Or have I wasted that isk?
I make reaction's to fund my pvp and plex. I dont have lots of time to play, so I took the only plausible route of isk making (Passive) with reaction's. Tend to it every few days, job done.
But this proposal is now forcing me to defend a citadel I couldnt possibly do without changing my gameplay, spend hours belt mining which I havent and wont choose as a career in eve.
Where exactly is this helping the little guy? All I can see is a change that benefits the bigger alliances once again.
I've been playing eve now for just under 12 years. I try not to venture on to the forums for obvious reasons. Hi to the first person that bitches and moans and tells me to do something else o/
But this is the first time CCP has changed/plans to change something that doesnt need changing.
More people would be happy with the monopoly of Moons being reduced, not reinforced. Ever considered making moon goo more like Cosmic signatures rather than a static object that if you got 100 super's, its yours untill someone with 200 supers comes along?
Make it so the goo only lasts 28 days for example, than it appears on another moon, in another system?
Why CCP, should I invest my isk into a Refinery that'll probably last a week because 200 man corp or 1500 man alliance want the moon its sitting on?
The sandbox is what attracts people, I dont believe Refineries are keeping up with that. I can ramble on for ages about this, but perhaps someone who looks at this the same way as I might explain a little better.? |

I fail to see your point. If other players wanted the moons so bad they would have already blown up your pos network.
also it sounded like reaction structures won't need to be anchored to a moon, so that might even benefit you.

At this point, don't stop using a POS

I recently gave up what "valuable" moons I had after numerous "mails" asking to move it or loose it. None of the where R64 or even R32 which was suprising.
Anything less than R32 is hard to make any sort of profit from unless investing large amounts of isk into reaction's. Sorry, perhaps my explanation above was not as clear as I thought it was. |
