So I'm trying Eve Radio and it's coming up as some ad site. You know, those kind you hate. They come up when you type the address to your favorite store or website wrong, and they try to direct you to a billion other stupid sites. So here's the question: Is eve-radio down?
I'm unable to log in for a bit, and can't try the in-game channels, so whaddya say people? Is my comupter retarded? Am I retarded? The Internet?
Let me know, Thanks.

Okay, So I got it to work, but only cause i'm slightly crafty.
If you open your media player and open the file/url of
http://broadband.eve-radio.com:8000
It works. But now I have wmp open, and I'd rather just have it in the IE window like usual. I don't know what's goin on, but that is a quick fix for now.

Eve radio has sold out mate, haven't u heard? they are now indeed turning into gaming radio and sharing their airtime with another mogg, (i think it's Dungeons and dragons online) I don't want to share my radio station with goblins and elves, JEEZ!!!
I'm soo sooo ****ed at them! And to think i actually supported them by donations as well... buncha *insert bad word here* sell outs!
Oh well, eve radio isn't what it used to be anymore anyways... Gawd i mis the times with doby and the ERA...
Still looking for a decent EVE ONLY online radio station.

shoutcast has a note on its main title now stating the following.
Quote: The future of Internet radio is in Jeopardy!
The Copyright Royalty Board in Washington, DC has more than tripled the royalty rates for web casters and if left unchanged they will *KILL* the future of Internet radio!
Yesterday(April 26th, 2007) the "Internet Radio Equality Act " House Resolution # 2060 was introduced in Congress. This bill would overturn the CRB's decision and require rates to be re-set at a lower rate.
Let your voice be heard & help push it through Congress.
Is that likely to affect whats left of eve-radio perhaps, im not sure where their hosted from, so it may not apply.

I remember tuning in to ER back when it was new-ish. There were nights where you could be assured that any neat thing going on EVE right then was going to be talked about on ER as it was happening, kind of like a Breaking News type of thing.
The last dozen or so times I've tuned in, it's been some joker sitting in his apartment swearing up a storm with some douchebag friend and playing some crappy music every once in a while. There was nothing EVE-related at all in any of the stuff I heard, and I tune in every once in a while, hopeful that maybe I'll catch a DJ who's got some sense of what EVE Radio is about.
There have been some utterly great people working for EVE Radio either in its administration and/or DJing, but it's definitely fallen hard and fast.
It's really too bad though.

We even have Mr M from Eve Tribune/Eve Geek on Tuesday. Requestable auto available when no DJ is on, ingame channel is still EUR.
Signing up for the website is free, tuning in is free, requesting is free.
Enjoy gang.

yeah been a long time since i heard anything remotely eve related, they have the occational lottery where they hand out ingame prizes but thats about it as far as eve goes... u never hear anything about whats going on between alliance A and alliance b, and how alliance c stuck a knife in the back of alliance d and so on.
ER is dead, i'm actually contemplating about tuning into BoB radio but i fear that one is just a 'bob is so great' station.
If i had the time and knowledge i would start my own eve radio

i have to say after listning to a coupple of ''eve'' stations i have liked the eve-underground (eden-underground) one the best, no self pimping, no new never heard of tunes station that does play some of the best music that i have heard.
that and the dj's arnt up thier own arse's that some of the other stations seem to be, so in short listen to them :)
oh and they have a in game channel EUR that is quite entertaining when it gets going...

I made a thread and got replies from both Dark Shikari AND Chribba?
Sweet.
Oh, and about the bills not being paid, I found a way to get the broadcast (second post), but their website still doesn't work. Very odd.
They sold out? son of a (*$! I'll have to try these others you guys have suggested then. Underground Radio, BoB radio, and Trance Radio. If you guys have any more, I'll check em out too. Thanks!

I used to listen to eve radio back in the days of people like DJ Stora. i tried listening in a few weeks ago and now it just seems so impersonal. I think i'll be checking out BoB, EvE underground and Veldspar radio... Hmm, whats the linkage for Veld? lolz
