Hello I would like to ask some questions.
1. Can you play this game casual? I mean a few hours a week? Or do you need to do few hours everyday at least?
2. Is there a good website where you can find builds for your ship? I find it difficult to make a build that suits my goals with the energy limit and the turret limit and all that, is there a database with good builds? For low level ships?
3. Why do I need to pay tax to my corporation? What do they do with that?
4. Can I store as much stuff as I want in a station or is there a limit to it (like with your ship)?
5. Is it just that some ships can use drones and some cannot or can you put a thing on your ship so that you can use drones even if you normally can't?
6. Do I only have to pay tax over my income or also over my possessions (like interest but reverse)?
7. How do I link objects in chat I knew it but I forgot, also how can I link people?
Thank you for your time :) |

1. Yes, absolutly. It is all tied to your playstyle.
2. I'll pass, i don't know. There was Battleclinic a while back, but i'm not sure if it's up to date.
3. It's not your corporation, it's your birth faction's new player corporation. The tax is an incentive to leave the corporation. We don't know what they do with it ; the money doesn't go in any player's pocket. It's an isk sink.
4. No limit.
5. The drone bay has a hard limit than nothing can change.
6. The NPC corp tax applies to bounties payments only ; income tax on only this income source.
7. Simple mouse drag and drop. Works for ships, modules, people, star systems, and plenty of other stuff. Just experiment !
The above message presents my opinions on the topic at hand. If there is a conflict between my views and reality, consider reality to be correct until proven otherwise.

You can play casual if you wish, prob not worth paying a sub for that, but as an alpha you can, but you may find it difficult to get into.
For fittings look at o'smium and/or zkillboard
If you are in an NPC corp tax doesnt do anything for you, if you are in a player owned corp it should be for paying for services like SRP, fuel costs etc, generally most player run corps dont charge too much, be wary if you pay a lot
I think you can store as much as you want in an NPC station, I think limits apply to citadels and outposts, not sure on that though
There is no module that allows you to use drones on a ship taht doesnt already have it
You pay tax when you kill rats etc, look under transactions, green is your money, re is the tax from that. You dont pay tax on possesions you already have. You pay brokers fees etc too when you sell on market, but they do not go to your corp
To link objects/people you just drag and drop to the chat box from the eve client |

Welcome
As mentioned https://zkillboard.com is one of the simplest places to look for fits. Most ship kills/losses are registered there. There isn't really a universal resource where you can pull up situational fits for every ship class. But if you spend some time looking at losses on that killboard you can see how people generally fit each class of ship be it for pvp or pve. If you also spend a little time in forum sections here relevant to what you want to do (missions, wormholes, etc) you'll find threads with fitting advice too. Another great resource is youtube.
It usually takes a bit of trial and error when you're new, but if you have an experienced friend or two (or are in an active corp) they can help explain some fits and why certain things are fitted that way.
Nicola Romanoff wrote:There is no module that allows you to use drones on a ship taht doesnt already have it Other than T3s! Though I think the OP is a way off those
But yeah, ships can carry drones or they can't. Gallente ships are generally the more drone-focused.

Welcome to Eve.
1. There are a number of industrial activities that run in the background - they don't care if you are logged in or not. Research, Manufacturing, Planetary Interaction, Markets. You only need to log in to start the process and collect the finished goods. For more active gameplay, missions and exploration fit themselves to your schedule reasonably well. Other players can always disrupt your plans - that's the nature of the sandbox.
2. Your best option is to learn how to fit your ships for different tasks. Eve University is an excellent resource for this. As Gallente you are probably interested in https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Tanking https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Turrets https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Drones Gallente ships that exemplify this: https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Tristan https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Algos https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Vexor There is a link to example fits on each page.
Most webpages have not been updated since Ascension and do not discuss the excellent in-game fitting simulator. Many recommend a 3rd party tool EFT that has not been updated for a year and appears to have been abandoned by its developer. PYFA is a 3rd party fitting tool that is still supported.
The Eve test server, Singularity, is also an excellent place to test fits. If you had an Eve account on March 15 you should be able to login. If not, wait for the next mirror.
4. There is (or was) a limit to the number of stacks you can have in your hangar. I believe it is 1000. This isn't restrictive - you can repackage and stack items of the same type and you can organize your hangar using containers.
Good luck.
