Hi all,
We feel like it's time for a new Little Things thread, a place where you can post your suggestions for little quality of life changes. As we mostly work on the UI, UI or other client suggestions would be most relevant.
To make it easier to read and process, please post your suggestions in the following format (without the quotes)Quote:Suggestion: Ability to see volume in Multibuy Keywords: ui, multibuy, market Note: Useful buying stuff to ship somewhere else --- When I'm buying stuff from Jita with Multibuy and need to ship it somewhere else, it would be very useful to know how much space the order takes up so I know if it fits in my 60k m3 hauler.
Please keep the suggestion short, to the point and only 1 sentance. Keywords and note are optional, but please not more than one line. Feel free to elaborate in as much detail you want below the line

Suggestion: check manufacturing job output location can store the manufactured item or not Keywords: ui, industry Note: prevent get stuck when output lockation can't hold the items
--- we usally use small containers to sort out blueprint when we use blueprint, it is easy that just click "start" without considering the output location can store the manufactured item or not (and the default output is same as the input) Then we will get stuck that we can't deliver the item, system keep saying the output location don't have the volume to store the item. |

Add a "trash contents" button to spaceports and storage facilities in PI.

There is currently no way in the PI user interface to discard the inventory of a structure. Occasionally this can get annoying, for example when trying to clean up an error that leaves a crucial routing point clogged with useless product. The work-around is to demolish and re-build the structure, but that usually results in having to set a bunch of routing back up which is tedious. |

Suggestion: Button to click to refresh assets Keywords: assets, search Note: Docking / Undocking just to update your assets is less than ideal when doing remote inventory management.
Suggestion: Allow stacked window tabs to run onto double lines Keywords: UI Note: This has been asked for a lot. Getting a little > arrow is less than ideal.
Suggestion: Fix inconsistencies in name positioning and linking in corporate notifications subject. Keywords: Note: {user} joins {corp}, New Application from {user}, User has left {corp}
Suggestion: Copying should maintain formatting tags. Keywords: ui Note: Copying a line of text loses its formatting tags, unlinking any systems, stations etc.
Suggestion: Always put exact match at the top of the list, then sort by standings (Corp > Alliance > Good > Bad > Neutral) Keywords: ui Note: Quite often, when you search for a name, it appears far down the list with partial search even though the name is exactly what you want. The selection menu is a pain, so put an exact match at the top, then sort the rest by if they're in your corp, alliance, then with standings... as these are people you are most likely to want to communicate with.
Suggestion: Filter "like this" on modules and ship types that would allow you to right click in inventory and switch it to only show similar modules. Keywords: ui Note: Right clicking on 50mn MWD and selecting filter like this, would show all 50mn MWDS.

Suggestion: Seperate the MWDs out into 5/50/500/50000 MN sub-category versions. The browse view in the MWD section is infuriating to use as there's too many in it, and meta 1 / tiericieded / meta 2, come in an unexpected order for their size. Keywords: market, ui Note:
Suggestion: Slap whoever wrote the forum software to reject posts that include things like angled brackets around things like "user" so your little things posts don't get consigned to the void. Keywords: web Note: Really hard slaps. |

Suggestion: Allow ship fitting to have their name entries as modifyable fields in the Ship Fitting list and Simulator fitting window. Allow active updates to preexisting fits (WIP fittings, Modification for module tiericide updates etc) with out having to save a new entry.

Note:
Allows for updating the ship name fitting and update the modules as needed. No additional entry to the database needs to be added but rather modifications to the current entity.

Suggestion: Re-enable double tapping tab to rollup and roll down all open windows

Note: This was a feature that was removed in December 2015 and has been discussed with the UI team member (CCP TurtlePower is aware of this request) . This feature is useful for quickly asessing what is happening in the game behind all the windows open.
Current implemented feature to pull all windows to the neocom and back out (which maximizes everything) is not exactly the similar feature. This is useful in a varity of situations including managing the UI while working planetary interaction, viewing the grid when moving, in combat, etc.
Please restore this feature.
I will post screen caps of this function later once I find them in my archive.

Suggestion: Double-click item in Wallet Transactions list performs market search Keywords: ui, market Note: Transactions tab items should process mouse clicks just like Orders tab, inspire new market activity. --- Wallet Orders tab: Buy and Sell, and Transactions tab lists all look the same, but it is frustrating that double-clicking under Transactions doesn't do anything. When reviewing items bought or sold, I wonder what current region price is; perhaps I should buy or sell more of that item here. (I first suggested this 2014.05.17) |

Suggestion: Make a fitting a tradeable item Keywords: Fitting, contract Note: Useful in selling/buying ships on contract with fittings not fitted
I would like to include a fitting (as an item) in a contract that has the ship and all the fittings so that the person buying the ship can assemble the ship, make it active, and then hit "fit ship", and they have the ship put together as contracted. |

Suggestion: Remember which tab i was on the last time I selected "Show Info" on a character. Keywords: Show Info, character information Note: When I'm frantically double-clicking on character names in local to gather intel on the enemy, i want THE SAME TAB to show up each time. Whether it's Standings, Notes, Employment History, or Bio, I just want the same tab to show up each time. The current results change from pilot to pilot depending on whether they have a Bio entered, or whether they have decorations or ...??? some other reason the same tab doesn't show up each time. So I have to re-click the tab I want to see with each pilot that I select....

Suggestion: Allow some way, any way, to delete expired Auctions from your "In Progress" Contracts search results. Keywords: Contracts, Annoying, Auction Note: When I'm the winning bidder of an auction contract, it remains as a search result in the "In Progress" search even after I've completed the action and received my goods. In big red letters it says "EXPIRED!" under the time left column, and yet there is no action that I can take on the contract to remove it from the list.
I don't want to see these expired contracts any more... ever... please make them go away. |

Suggestion: Allow remote trading of assets between characters. Keywords: trading between characters Note: Allow two characters to initiate a trade no matter their location. Make the location of the asset mean nothing. Let me drag an asset from my asset window into the trade window. completing the trade will transfer ownership if the item(s) but the item(s) will still reside at the same location they were traded from.
tl/dr example -- I should be able to open a trade and instantly transfer ownership of a ship that I have docked in some station several jumps away, rather than setting up an item exchange contract. |

Suggestion: Make the Industry window resizeable, make better use of screen real estate around the area that shows me minerals, and blueprint, and output product...etc Keywords: Industry, screen size, real estate Note: The largest single graphic in the industry window is a picture of the blueprint and the circle graphics that surround it. You can't change the size of this part of the window, yet it provides the least amount of value. I want to see the list of jobs, I want to have a larger size list of blueprints, i want more detail on the costs or the inputs of the job.... i want to make the best use of my screen size. This graphic is cool, but with it's hard set size, it makes the rest of the important stuff get scrunched into a small space.
Just a lot of inefficiently used real estate in the top 2/3 of the industry window. |

Keywords: ui, targeting, targets, in-space Note: Right now it can be hard to fit the active targets list onto the screen in a convenient way. --- The list of targets is pretty much the limiting factor in my UI setup right now. Everything else has to accommodate the target list because there are so few options for it. If we could have the option to specify an area it would occupy, or even flip the orientation relative to the existing target point that would be fantastic. Right now I have it in the lower left, but I can only fit about 8 targets before it overflows into other UI elements. Even the ability to have it flow targets down while in the lower half of the screen would be nice. |

really silly but you have to use a badger or iteron when using a jump bridge or titan bridge when you just want to relocate and not get to much jump fatigue when the shuttle should be the obvious ship for the job

Note: If i'm browsing the skill queue I want to see the categories, as I scroll around, but the category description popups sometimes show up ABOVE the skill title making scrolling up and down columns very annoying. Right now the right-click doesn't do anything here, so make the popup tied to a right click button, or some other hotkey, but not automatically popping up. experienced players probably don't need that popup all the time anyway.
OR, push the popup to the right of the category title, it doesn't seem as annoying to scroll through the skills themselves, because the popup there ends up to the right of the |
