Hi all,
We feel like it's time for a new Little Things thread, a place where you can post your suggestions for little quality of life changes. As we mostly work on the UI, UI or other client suggestions would be most relevant.

Suggestion: check manufacturing job output location can store the manufactured item or not Keywords: ui, industry Note: prevent get stuck when output lockation can't hold the items
--- we usally use small containers to sort out blueprint when we use blueprint, it is easy that just click "start" without considering the output location can store the manufactured item or not (and the default output is same as the input) Then we will get stuck that we can't deliver the item, system keep saying the output location don't have the volume to store the item. |

Add a "trash contents" button to spaceports and storage facilities in PI.

There is currently no way in the PI user interface to discard the inventory of a structure. Occasionally this can get annoying, for example when trying to clean up an error that leaves a crucial routing point clogged with useless product. The work-around is to demolish and re-build the structure, but that usually results in having to set a bunch of routing back up which is tedious. |

Suggestion: Fix inconsistencies in name positioning and linking in corporate notifications subject. Keywords: Note: {user} joins {corp}, New Application from {user}, User has left {corp}
Suggestion: Copying should maintain formatting tags. Keywords: ui Note: Copying a line of text loses its formatting tags, unlinking any systems, stations etc.
Suggestion: Always put exact match at the top of the list, then sort by standings (Corp > Alliance > Good > Bad > Neutral) Keywords: ui Note: Quite often, when you search for a name, it appears far down the list with partial search even though the name is exactly what you want. The selection menu is a pain, so put an exact match at the top, then sort the rest by if they're in your corp, alliance, then with standings... as these are people you are most likely to want to communicate with.
Suggestion: Filter "like this" on modules and ship types that would allow you to right click in inventory and switch it to only show similar modules. Keywords: ui Note: Right clicking on 50mn MWD and selecting filter like this, would show all 50mn MWDS.

Suggestion: Allow ship fitting to have their name entries as modifyable fields in the Ship Fitting list and Simulator fitting window. Allow active updates to preexisting fits (WIP fittings, Modification for module tiericide updates etc) with out having to save a new entry.

Note:
Allows for updating the ship name fitting and update the modules as needed. No additional entry to the database needs to be added but rather modifications to the current entity.

Suggestion: Re-enable double tapping tab to rollup and roll down all open windows

Note: This was a feature that was removed in December 2015 and has been discussed with the UI team member (CCP TurtlePower is aware of this request) . This feature is useful for quickly asessing what is happening in the game behind all the windows open.
Current implemented feature to pull all windows to the neocom and back out (which maximizes everything) is not exactly the similar feature. This is useful in a varity of situations including managing the UI while working planetary interaction, viewing the grid when moving, in combat, etc.
Please restore this feature.
I will post screen caps of this function later once I find them in my archive.

I would like to include a fitting (as an item) in a contract that has the ship and all the fittings so that the person buying the ship can assemble the ship, make it active, and then hit "fit ship", and they have the ship put together as contracted. |

Suggestion: Remember which tab i was on the last time I selected "Show Info" on a character. Keywords: Show Info, character information Note: When I'm frantically double-clicking on character names in local to gather intel on the enemy, i want THE SAME TAB to show up each time. Whether it's Standings, Notes, Employment History, or Bio, I just want the same tab to show up each time. The current results change from pilot to pilot depending on whether they have a Bio entered, or whether they have decorations or ...??? some other reason the same tab doesn't show up each time. So I have to re-click the tab I want to see with each pilot that I select....

Suggestion: Allow some way, any way, to delete expired Auctions from your "In Progress" Contracts search results. Keywords: Contracts, Annoying, Auction Note: When I'm the winning bidder of an auction contract, it remains as a search result in the "In Progress" search even after I've completed the action and received my goods. In big red letters it says "EXPIRED!" under the time left column, and yet there is no action that I can take on the contract to remove it from the list.
I don't want to see these expired contracts any more... ever... please make them go away. |

Make the location of the asset mean nothing. Let me drag an asset from my asset window into the trade window. completing the trade will transfer ownership if the item(s) but the item(s) will still reside at the same location they were traded from.
tl/dr example -- I should be able to open a trade and instantly transfer ownership of a ship that I have docked in some station several jumps away, rather than setting up an item exchange contract. |

Suggestion: Make the Industry window resizeable, make better use of screen real estate around the area that shows me minerals, and blueprint, and output product...etc Keywords: Industry, screen size, real estate Note: The largest single graphic in the industry window is a picture of the blueprint and the circle graphics that surround it. You can't change the size of this part of the window, yet it provides the least amount of value. I want to see the list of jobs, I want to have a larger size list of blueprints, i want more detail on the costs or the inputs of the job.... i want to make the best use of my screen size. This graphic is cool, but with it's hard set size, it makes the rest of the important stuff get scrunched into a small space.
Just a lot of inefficiently used real estate in the top 2/3 of the industry window. |

Everything else has to accommodate the target list because there are so few options for it. If we could have the option to specify an area it would occupy, or even flip the orientation relative to the existing target point that would be fantastic. Right now I have it in the lower left, but I can only fit about 8 targets before it overflows into other UI elements. Even the ability to have it flow targets down while in the lower half of the screen would be nice. |

really silly but you have to use a badger or iteron when using a jump bridge or titan bridge when you just want to relocate and not get to much jump fatigue when the shuttle should be the obvious ship for the job

Note: If i'm browsing the skill queue I want to see the categories, as I scroll around, but the category description popups sometimes show up ABOVE the skill title making scrolling up and down columns very annoying. Right now the right-click doesn't do anything here, so make the popup tied to a right click button, or some other hotkey, but not automatically popping up. experienced players probably don't need that popup all the time anyway.
OR, push the popup to the right of the category title, it doesn't seem as annoying to scroll through the skills themselves, because the popup there ends up to the right of the |

Keywords: Show Info Note: When I am researching modules that aren't comparable using the "compare" feature, I want to flip back and forth between the show info screens using the forward/back arrow in the upper right. But, each time I flip, the screen resets to the top of the tab that I was on, meaning if I want to see a set of attributes that are far down a list, I have to rescroll down each time I flip back and forth.
tl/dr, remember the tab and scrollbar location in "show info" when using the forward/back arrows between items. |

So almost all of my windows are in one stack or another, snapped to top or bottom screen edge. I frequently doubleclick the window title bars to collapse the windows and see beautiful things but very soon I need to doubleclick again to uncollapse and use the windows. Please let me hit a keybind instead of a precise mouse moves and doubleclick!

Fighting for control of the camera as you undock. - This is massively annoying. every time i undock i have to click and drag and shake my mouse until eve relinquishes control of the camera to me, so i can see whats happening around me
Fighters shouldnt stop moving. - Have them automatically continue orbiting the wreck or just the spot they are at... or make them just fly straight, i dont care. but they should never come to a complete stop unless i tell them to.
Drag/Drop from ship to cargo via 3d view - I should be able to drag/drop items from my ship's cargo into the station's 3d view, and have it placed in my cargo (so i dont need to open up more windows)

Essentially I'm asking for a feature to export all my wallet transactions to a comma-separated-textfile, which could then be imported and further processed through all sorts of neat calculation and analysis tools (e.g. OpenOffice Calc / MS Excel etc). I wouldn't want to install yet another third-party-gizmo which then requires yet another limited API key and whatnot, if such a thing even exists yet. Plain-and-simple export to CSV please, so I can do some magic with my calc software.

Fix Hidden Assets "Bug"
I like to do contract trading, so I end up with a lot of assets spread throughout different stations and citadels. It would be a really big quality of life improvement if you made the context menu options (right click options) the same no matter where the item is.
What works: If you right click on a fitted ship (or container/courier package) when it's owned by a character and in a station, you get the option to "View Contents" and "Repackage"
What is cumbersome: When you right click on a fitted ship (or container/courier package) when it's in a citadel or in the corp deliveries, you CANNOT "View Contents" or "Repackage".
That's right, the only way to even know what you own is to create a contract with the item and view the list that way, then delete the contract.
I'm sure this would be a quick code change too. Thanks! |

Such icon would take priority and replaced the -10 etc in chat (but not an icon of wartarget obviously). It could be very useful to tag players with a more specific purpose such as to tell your players - these are scammers, these are scanning your cargo, these are droppers etc. etc. simply players you want your players to watch out but you don't want to give them -5 / -10 as they are not actually your enemies.
I would take this feature even if it would require microtransactions. |

This will not stop the new players but it will stop all those players that send in large barge/exhumer fleets into the starter systems. You could them increase the ore amount in the starter systems. |

2. Pressing target key and then clicking an entry on the overview (which will start a target lock as normal) but then allow us to drag the mouse up or down to select the entities above of below as well?

3. Allow a 'Select By Type' and/or 'Target By Type'' shortcut key -- Which when used would select all nearby 'same' items (or in direction of drag) up to the target locks available? This would help immensely when salvaging or when Selcting frigates from cruisers (etc) in PvE.
NOTE: I am all for NOT changing the game just because doing something is hard, involved, or can be a 'click fest' since nothing that pays off should be easy - don't want a 'I Am Lazy' button to creep into the game. But on the other hand the above suggestions are for people who play a lot (especially manufacturing and PI) and risk wearing out the mouse with all the clicking involved. I once counted over 400 clicks/dbl clicks just to retool ONE planet in a 45 planet PI Chain. mouse is used in Many applications out side the game too, so mouse wear is a thing to keep in mind - replacing a $10 mouse is one thing, a $80 mouse is something else. |

Discussion: As mentioned earlier, clicks are way more numerous than they should be. Allowing a finished (Or even a partially finished) layout to be saved to named 'fitting style' list can help when building the same/similar layouts on other planets.
1. If used on an unimproved planet the entire configuration applies and is built and you are asked if you wish to pay the cost of such (great for figuring out costs too)
2. if used on a partially improved planet then the individual units characteristics are applied to identical units on the planet.
3. By multi-selection u can target certain units to receive the fitting configuration.
The above may seem haphazard and end up with unintended results (and may need to be refined - possibly by filters of what is to be used from the configuration), But, overall, by having such a feature set u can apply just those options u want from the saved configuration design, resulting in many different uses for saved configurations, but retaining the Complexity this game mode should have.
Note: This would allow many ways for PI Configurations to be saved and may be more properly a feature implemented in the PI overhaul, but some sub-features here and following in this thread can be implemented before that time.
Final Note on Pi Configurations: Allowing people to save to their computers and Load to game canl open up opportunity for more 3rd party tools and the ability for the player to do his own tweaking and simulation of layouts. thereby giving more play tools to a player and avoiding overloading the game servers. |

Same for Storage facilities (and Spaceports) allow them to be upgraded to hold more storage. Less individual facilities on a planet and easier to maintain. The purpose is understood from the developement side, however from a use case perspective (as I've been pushing for nearly 3 weeks now) is not complete.
Half of the user base didn't even know that the advanced audio settings were even a thing probably so the data they used could have been sewed
They say that this is going to be iterated on, but there needs to be more control not less IMO.
Trust me... Patch day will come, people will react and the forums will explode with unhappy players. We need to ensure that we hold them making this change better over time. Yes this may be the first iteration but hopefully not the last.
This is not a LITTLE thing by a long shot.

Note: Right now the capsuleer day skins are pretty pointless if applied to pod as when the ship goes from ship to wreck/pod there is no real application of the skin unless manually applied. This will be the last thing a pilot concerns themselves with as their pod is ejected from the hull.
Please revise the code to maintain pod skin persists so when its generated in space, the skin desired is automatically applied.

Okay I deleted a wall of text here due to , well come on - you guys know whats going on.
But would like to mention the real point of this.. Market manipulation and being smart in the market is hard enough. But having to deal with a situation where someone (without any effort) can deny u a sell order completely (unless u spend all day lowering ur price again and again) - relying on a buyer coming by - while ur the lowest price, is just too much to expect of players, especially if market trading IS NOT their main focus in the game.
I understand if u allow seller names in the market (and say, a Rt-Click method of reporting botting in the Char Sub-menu) that u will be flooded with names that u would have to check out. But absent u checking every name, just notify them they have been reported, when they see that - they may stop, change characters, etc. but at very least when u DO data-mine them and determine they are botting u will know they were notified of the violation and they ignored it.
The bottom line is - the Only way players have to beat a Botting Market Trader is to Bot themselves .. u need to give us Another Way.

You can Overheat hole Racks, single Slots for every Rack too....For EVERY Slot you can setup a seperate Keybind in the Modules Tab/ESC Options.
But....
The "hidden" Feature to change the Overheat State, by holding SHIFT and just clicking on the Module...is not available as a seperate Keybind Option. Changing the default Key "Select" from Shift to something else, is not working for this awesome "hidden" Feature.
I always need to take off my left hand and turn it 20-¦Degree to the left and move my littlefinger down on the Shiftkey, to be able to change the HeatMode fast....
But i want to have the option to bind it to a key near my thumb...it would be a thousands times more relaxxing, besides the fact that it would improve my Skills of course.
It is way more relaxxing and i never ever need to rearrange my hand again...i mean, why are Keybinds like TAB "locked"....i want to be able to change the TAB key too, like it is possible in every other Computergame too, since 1999 :)

Cinematic Camera Delay
Basically a slider or option that if one is viewing a target to add a delay of X seconds for the camera to switch/snap back to your ship view if you select "look at" as an option. Usually if you are recording content you will manually move the view around but this would give the option to watch the resultant explosion even after the target ship is destroyed rather than snapping back to view a close up of your own ship.
Another option would be to pan back to your ship view rather than the snap return to zoom rate currently in the game. Like a pan to close up and then zoom out to normal view that can be established and modified to give a bit more cinematic quality to it even at a noob level for immersion and fun.
Have you heard anything I've said?

--- Everyone familiar with industry knows that sorting your' BPC's and BPO's(less problematic) in industry window is a mess. Especially when you have hundreds and thousands of them. Not saying that it's also laggy as hell! From what i understand the ability of stacking them in hangar is unlikely to be introduced(too many parameters, too complicated etc, etc) BUT it is possible to do so in an industry window! Just add a column "quantity" and group all kind of BPC's and BPO's with similiar parameters(ME/TE/Runs etc) in industry window. Such kind of improvement will be VERY appreciated from all industrialists of eve! |

The only way to know is to have a rough idea of when a job is complete and the constantly open the Industry jobs window to check if it is complete, or use a third party program like evemon which gives notification for when industry jobs are completed. The easy fix to this is adding a notification for when an industry job completes.
Suggestion: Add Number of Industry jobs completed to log in page. Keywords: Industry, notifications, log in note: When running industry jobs on multiple accounts -- A little line under the number of mails received listing the number of industry jobs completed on the character since last log in. This would be useful for account that have multiple characters running industry jobs so they could just log into the account and view how many jobs have been completed over what characters. It does not have to take up much space, just a section the same size as number of mails received and positioned right under the number of mails.
suggestion: Remove PI building holograms when clicking on them keywords: PI, UI, visibility note: For more visibility when setting up PI -- Currently when on a PI world whenever a building is clicked on it will bring up an information screen for that building, but also create a floating hologram of that building directly over the building itself, which covers multiple buildings. This floating hologram gets in the way when trying to configure multiple buildings in a short amount of time because it could cover the building you want to move to next. The hologram currently is able to be clicked through to select another building, but the buildings are hard to see and you find yourself guessing at where the building may be if it is covered by the hologram. Removing the hologram would allow player to more easily select PI buildings are more easily configure PI planets without the hassle of trying to find the buildings hidden by a hologram or just clicking on the planet itself to remove current selection. |

For the initial screen when you change from Omega to Alpha the option to "upgrade" is there but it only takes you to your account management page to buy game time while you log in to the character selected already.
I would love an option to view and use my PLEX vault BEFORE I have to log into to the character to make it omega from the log in screen. Seeing as the vault is now per account and not per player this functionally should be possible so as to not drop down to alpha before logging in then applying plex vault and then getting the queue going again.
Added bonus would be a specific character selection to activate the queue after going omega without having to log them in if they have a queue available. So make omega, either through vault or whatever then simply log in to character selection screen and apply queue from there.
First suggestion is all I would be looking for though.

It's not unreasonable to expect that basic looting should not take longer than the mission itself. I also think it's unreasonable to expect a player to bring a second Omega account with them in a Noctis just to perform a basic fundamental requirement such as "looting the mission item" in an acceptable amount of time. |

by implementing Shared Hangars independent from corporate and personal hangars.
The problem with corporate hangars is people can be excluded from using them, and the matter of fact is, players often use multiple accounts, so asset management with current solutions is a pain. The trade window is annoying, and the Delivery Service is just no enough of asset management tool, and the purpose of contracting was to trade with other players, and not an asset management tool.
Simple fix: Shared Hangars
- A player can host a Shared Hangar and ADD and REMOVE access to it, at will. Like a mailing list, just with assets.
- The Shared Hangar could be setup as Localized - only in the station it was created, or Global - the shared hangar will appear in every station/citadel.
- The creator of a Shared Hangar could grant roles to other players.
- Two types of Shared Hangars - for Modules and for Ships.
With this simple solution managing assets between accounts could stop being a pain, like it's now.
PS. And for the love of God, make dragging a player's name into the Delivery Window possible. |

But then I remember that I had just set up some extractions a day ago, and that I should worry about it tomorrow when the extractions finish.
What I would rather do is create a reminder for myself that pings me after 48 hours with a custom message like "Go to MY_PLANET in MY_SYSTEM and haul out your Oxidizing Compound and start a new extraction job.". Or maybe I want to remind myself to refill my POS after such amount of days, or to haul off some moon rocks/researched BPCs, or to refill a corp hangar with Ammunition. My industrial operations can be kind of complex and if I take a break from the game, I have no f-ing clue what I was doing before =D.
Some basic task management software might be useful for corps; maybe everyone has a checklist that they can open. The corp/manager can add tasks to the list, or the pilot can add their own, such as "Patrol such and such area" or "Scan down system".
