Today, I placed a buyorder in the market and i did this 5 seconds BEFORE downtime to avoid others to place a better buyorder. I logged in 2-3 seconds after downtime was finished and i was the first one in the local. Checking the market showed 2 higher player owned buyorders which where modified 2 minutes AFTER i created my buyorder. Damned! How is this possible? Who can modify or create buyorders during downtime?
Sorry CCP, but this is not ok! This was not the first time somebody modified the market during downtime. Stop your Devs or GMs doing this!

That's a pretty serious accusation to make. File an exploit petition with all the relevant info and let GMs investigate.

Bit off-topic but what gives u setting up buy orders 5 secs before DT and log in 5 secs after it. No one will fill them up during downtime

He buys goods from NPC, that renew during downtime (sometimes).

When you're cut off from EVE because of downtime, it's not 100% of EVE that shuts down at the same time. Even though there's a single universe, there are several clusters of servers which shut down independently. That means players have several minutes difference in shut-down, depending on (maybe, don't know) their position in the world.
So the players who have modified orders after you were probably on another server cluster, and thus shut down a couple of minutes later. ___________________ Sortiario Communication Consulting - SCConsult Communication advisory service |

when exactly is after downtime for you? downtime lasts an hour, but depending on which cluster you're on, you can login even 20 minutes earlier.

If that bug(market orders reseting at downtime) is back they need to fix it again. There was way too much isk dumped into the economy the last time it was around. Not to mention how ridiculously easy it was to make isk...

I was cut off because of downtime once and I didn't realize it was downtime, I had been afk and came in just as it booted me. I immediately logged back in and it let me. I changed a few orders and then a few minutes later it booted me. I then realized what time it was and just stayed off line.
I have a feeling this is what is happening.

Sounds like CCP needs to close connections & block logins @ downtime.
