About to have my second kid so Ive no time to play the game anymore but have 100b i could happily invest for a longer term. Looking for a set it and forget it situation. Even 1 bil a month repayment would be happy. Ideas? Money was made manufacturing so not alot of market/investment experiance.

Are you looking to invest in a market commodity, or invest in a person? For commodities, the answers you will get apart from "PLEX" will be tainted by personal interests and speculations. But moon materials seem to be in vogue because of upcoming changes.
For investing in other traders, anyone would take your offer at such a low interest rate, but most would then run off with your money. I can think of four forum active traders that could be unconditionally trusted with 100 bn.
But if you rephrase your post to offer a loan against collateral, then that could bring serious offers. From time to time there are players that asks for loans of that size and have the collateral for it.

Will you be able to log in briefly around once per week?
If so, there is profit to be made in researching Dreadnought BPOs for profitable resale and/or for copying.
Such an operation would fit your available capital well, and with a production background you probably have the character skills for it.
You'll need to establish an Azbel in a quiet highsec station system, and possibly keep mercs on retainer. Fuel use is pretty minimal as you will only need a research service. You should be able to take one DST load of fuel up each month or two.

Would it not be cheaper to use a free EC? I know there is a small rick of it being fueled or some such but would most likely be less than paying fuel/rick of it being Exploded ect. |

Public ECs are less safe and more expensive (because of high system indexes).
Plus you can have interesting issues with someone that chooses not to refuel, then ransoms your jobs in progress.
Private ECs have safety through obscurity.

Put your research alts in a big nullsec block, then research in their null sotiyos for best speed and best safety.

You will have to put up with extraordinary system indicies if you do that.
I had a look at Mercenary Coalition's Sotiyo in Basgerin and their ME index was around 8%. Copying is 11%, which means that 1.21% of all gamewide copying is taking place in Basgerin.

'Sides, with how cheap ECs can be, doesnt exactly make sense to have all research happen in the same location. Spread it out, save billions in index taxes :P |

Establishing a Sotiyo is a serious commitment even for a large alliance. They won't just put up 36 of them for you to pick the one with the best index.

are you looking for your personal investment or loan to another capsuleer investment?
I myself would invest in BPOs with that kind of capital which would put me higher than destroyers and frigates right now.
im just about done with my first load of 10 100% complete researched bpos
really shouldn't have waited this long in the game for it but moving to Africa and not being able to mission due to power outages and the phone dropping connection at will keeps me from doing my incursions and missions

That was my recommendation - a private Azbel, rather than a public Sotiyo.
System indexes above 0.4% on a Dreadnought BPO will wreck you.
