You have a pod worth a few hundred mill and you want to get from one destination to another across hisec. You are lazy and you want to use the autopilot. You know there are gankers that specialize in killing autopiloting shuttles, so you want to tank your taxi sufficient to make a ganker look elsewhere.
Realistically, anything that can reliably survive a thrasher alpha strike is probably good enough. But I'm interested in formulating an optimal fit for this purpose. It's likely an entirely passive buffer shield tanked ship, to maximize both tank and speed. Since we're autopiloting there is no use for a prop mod, cov ops cloak, or any active tank module.
I've been using a raptor with 2x t2 MSE, t2 em and thermal shield amps, dc2, and 2x t2 shield rigs that is about 16k EHP, but I'm wondering if anyone either uses or can eft warrior anything better without excessive bling. |

does the whole leave something heavy on your mwd key still work? A MWD should greatly speed up travel time if so.

Pretty much he best ship for it. Got about as much EHP as you can get on a frig while having good regen (incase someone else tries) and you can fit nanos for faster slow boating.
Just a rough fit. [Harpy, AFK travel]
Damage Control II Nanofiber Internal Structure II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Medium Shield Extender II Medium Shield Extender II EM Ward Amplifier II EM Ward Amplifier II
Small Core Defense Field Extender II Small Core Defense Field Extender II
Replace Nanos with Power Diags and you get 31k or power relays and you get 250 regen. |

Nice idea I forgot about that. I just set up a speed Arron that gets 1k speed and set it loose. I got ganked mining so I'm not worth worrying much at the moment

For all my pod movement needs I tend to use a "Travel'tron" and it looks something like this...
Atron
3 x Warp Core Stabiliser I 2 x Small Shield Extender I 1 x 5 MN Microwarpdrive I
2 x Small Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer 1 x Small Low Friction Nozzle Joint
The use of non-meta modules is deliberate - as the ship is 100% manufacturable and costs less than 2 million ISK. This is however best used when actively piloting, but, it can cross the galaxy very quickly, and is more reliable and faster than a shuttlecraft. This is the best ship for moving about in lowsec.
As for AFK highsec transport it has 3000 eHP depending on skills - and so might not be suitable for your needs. I'd recommend a composite hull tank + shield tank... Something like this:
Atron
1 x Damage Control Unit II 2 x Reinforced Bulkheads II 1 x EM Ward Amplifier II 1 x Thermal Disipation Amplifier II 1 x Medium Azentropic Restrainer Shield Extender II - (Could fit Medium Shield Extender II if you have the skills)
2 x Small Processor Overclocking Unit I 1 x Small Transvers Bulkhead II
Total cost of fitting is 6 Million ISK.. A bit more pricey, but, considering that you're doing hisec movements with an expensive head it's probably justified. This fit has 6000 eHP and balanced resists against all damage types.

NICE... I think I might steal this one
