Metr0p0lis is shutting down Hulk production for 9 weeks starting 1.1.2012. Main areas of effect will be Jita and Tash-Murkon Prime.
This may cause Hulks to come down in price, since we will not be manipulating markets by buying off cheaper Hulks.
We are hoping that this will help Hulk pilots during Hulkageddon 5.

Hmm, I would have thought that when there is a decreasing supply and increasing demand then prices go up not down, regardless of the fact you're not buying the cheaper ones to manipulate the market, someone will be now buying them and storing them for hulkageddon. |

Spallated Garniferous Schist will trump this notable move by not entering the hulk market in the first place! We're not sure what we plan to accomplish by doing that, but it'll help someone.

Airmail Explosives will follow suit. We hope this will start a wave of beneficial market non-participation. |

In unrelated make-believe news, half the world's farmers suddenly decided to stop farming and take up carpentry instead. Using a similar logic to the one in the first post in this thread, the OP should be concluding that food prices might get lowered, lumber might get cheaper and furniture might become more expensive.
His argument is that somehow the remaining farmers might decide to sell for less because nobody's really all THAT hungry (and besides, everybody in the world might decide to start dieting at the same time) while nobody else will bother to buy up cheap food (since hey, it will just spoil anyway) ; that the forestry industry might somehow magically become so much more efficient due to increased lumber demand (using technology previously suppressed by the farmer cabal), but that somehow all of the former farmers now carpenters will decide to enter a price-fixing scheme (they so totally have a history of doing that) while the consumers will be too confounded by the glut of products to notice the increases in price in spite of the economic downturn lowering disposable income since, hey, the food got cheaper so it all more than balances out. Or something like that.

Your enthusiastic support is most welcome. It's too early at this juncture to say for sure, but I now have an optimistic feeling that we may see massive and extensive non-participation in this exceptional non-event.

I'm going to join the bandwagon, and categorically exclaim that I won't be putting any titans in to build for the next couple of months or so, so expect prices to fall to around the 50-60 Million mark shortly |

An Emergency Executive Council Meeting at Recidivists Incorporated just voted to join Spallated Garniferous Schist and Airmail Explosives in this extremely bold market move to non-produce Hulks. We have confidence that in this currently strong market, such forward-thinking lack of action will be seen as indicative of strong future profits. |

Poorly lettered attempt at hulk manipulation?
I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of these.

Actually the opposite will happen. If anything just cut your prices or something Hulk prices are like a mountain they don't move much. |
