Hello fellow hole dwellers, I'm looking for a C1 or C2 hole to move into for a while, I'v been coming across lot of K162 holes while looking for a c1 or c2 is it worth checking the J-Space or is it more then likely occupied and active there for not ideal for me to move into?
Also i been reading alot on the K162 holes and everyone seems to have a different opinion of how the spawn and when. if someone has any solid info on them for me to read that would be great as well. |

its worth looking in everything, what have you to loose after scanning it down.

You don't need to jump through to tell if it's a C1 or C2 Wh, just use the info and a visual check to see where it goes.
See here for details: https://tripwire.torpedodelivery.com/wiki/whvisual/
tl;dr version: - C1 will say that it only allows medium ships to jump in show info. - C2 will say 'leads to unknown space' and will not look whitish, allows large jumps.
PS: the spawning mechanics are very well documented in various dev blogs and release notes, the only confusion comes from people who are too lazy to look it up.

The sig ID K162 ALWAYS refers to the out signature of a wormhole spawn, it won't tell you any more info there. Jack Milton is correct in how to do a quick ID of the wormhole for what you're looking for. But to be honest, your best bet is to straight dive into a wormhole and start scanning its chain, you are much more likely to find what you are looking for.
websites such as Anoik.is will give you detailed information on every system you jump into, including it's associated statics and then you can start trying to narrow down your search from there.
