Took a break for a couple years and have returned to see that some changes were made to the FW plexes and such. I have been having a difficult time getting in touch with my old corp and everyone that I seem to speak with in game is either a complete **** or are a Russian. So what Im trying to figure out is why its so damn hard to get into a FW corp and what new and improve changes have been made. Is FW target rich? PLEXing worth the time? Is FW dead and too lopsided? Information would be great because I intend to rejoin FW and but if its a sinking ship, or sunk already, then I'll move on from it.
Also I am looking to get caught up on the last couple of years with nurfs/buffs from ship fitting to market place pricing (i.e. I noticed there is a change in the PLEX trade). If anyone can link me a site that can catch me up that would be outstanding.
Thanks in Advance |

Fw has been neglected by devs but its far from dead in terms of content.
As with all corps some research is needed fo find a good one, i cant recommend any of them tbh
Targets are all over the warzone, just dont ***** about stabed farmers and youll have a good time. Amar have lots of targets atm as they are being swarmed by minmatar and galente farmers

FW is generally a waste of time unless you are stab farming or in a worm / garmur. |

Try using a catalyst some time. 11.2k ehp and 400dps. Nothing to sniff at. Plus they can sit at zero in a small until the cows come home. |

The real killer for FW is the faction ships in novice plexes. (Im looking at the worm and garmur here)
Newbros cant start off somewhere they have a chance without falling prey to a kill mark farmer |

Thats not what Im told.
Im told newbros need to get constantly stomped into the ground by faction garmurs / worms.
The newbros just need to git gud and quit QQ'ing.

Newbros need to learn how pvp in eve works. And there are 2 ways to do it. Out ship or outnumber. It takes less than a day to train into destroyers from frigates. And they barely cost anything more. Do smalls instead of novice. Or,, and here is the real mind blowing one. Take advantage of the fact that this is an mmo and bring some friends along. |

This is pretty much dead on. Want to win? Bring friends or drop ISK.

Yeah faction ships in novice plexes are quite powerfull. Buncha newbies need to get together, do some burners and then apply that to pvp with extra sprinkles on top.

When i've started back in the end of 2009 ISK was not so easily obtainable. There was no such thing like newbee-friendly organization.
And yet, i'm here. Never been 'gud' and always did stupid mistakes (last one was like half a year ago when i afk-ed with my full Genolution set sitting on gates in ****-fit frigate i bought from someone). Never got free ships for pve/pvp.
And yet, i'm here.
So when you tell that newbees NEED even more support than they got for last YEARS(!) i ask myself "are they really THAT BAD"? |

Faction ships is just one possibility in a spectrum of possible counter tactics. One of the first things you learn when you get into faction war is that you don't need expensive ships to beat your opponent. You just need the right ships.
Those special snowflake, bling fit, pirate faction ships do a very good job at isolating and killing weaker targets... But they will trade very poorly in larger attrition based fleet combat. A properly constructed fleet of tech I, fitted with a judicious selection of tech II and tech I meta modules, can punch well above their weight. When properly supported with logi, and EWAR, they will trade very ISK efficiently - and hence drive your opponents wallet into the ground...
Which come to think of it, is precisely the reason why Galmil has been doing so succesfully in these last few months. In the space of only a few days we wiped out Billions of ISK. With 200 Million ISK killmails back to back - and we did it with tech I frigates. Eventually the enemy just ran out of ships,
The whole point of using bling fit ships like Cruor, Garmur, Daredevil, and Dramiel is to achieve flawless victory. But as soon as they start loosing those ships, they will loose badly. They are ill-suited to attirition warfare. |
