DUST514 mods. I bought a BPC for tactical laser something....it seems it was used to do the bombardments from space to the dust planets. Useless!
Discussions by or about carebears are also useless, though can be entertaining sometimes.
But most useless of all were the facebook comments on the eve page i read today. Former eve players complaining that this MMO is designed badly cause solo play is so hard. Or people complaining in a totally unconstructive manner about what they call nerfs, which really are game balances implemented by the game developpers with the intend of improving the game. At the same time ccp is totally open for feedback. When im tired or generally in a bad mood I deeply look down on the cries of these people. Also the people who cry eve is pay to win. I have fkn alphas in my null sec corp having tons of fun for fks sake.
Winning in eve is having fun while playing it. I recon it can suck if youre in a corp with a-holes unwilling to help you, so there is some determination requires to find a good group.
That being said, our corp is open to all, feel free to mail me or apply through our public channel. We dont have any obligations for members except they provide the API for a check. The one and only rule is you should have fun when you log in and damn man, we are having loads of fun doing everything! |

When I first started playing Eve Online I could easily do the group play styles, but as things changed in my life, I was no longer able to log in consistently as possible. I started getting kicked from this corp or that corp due to erratic log in times or finding my corp had moved to the other side of the cluster.
This became really annoying so I tried to find some solo niche I could do when I could play. What I found is that solo game play is nearly impossible outside a given range of lower SP focused activities.
Solo game play was very possible and somewhat enjoyable when I first start the game, but as I progressed it becomes far less enjoyable or even possible. Many would say that this is not the games fault and you should be forced to play in a group when you first start out, but I say that completely misses the point.
Many players' lives change over time and many can't or maybe don't even want to play in group based gameplay alll the time in a MMO. Sometimes it is more fun to go as the lone wolf from time to time. Twelve years ago you could do that in Eve, but it seems CCP found that players logged in more consistently when in a group so they started to focus more on gameplay that required group play, in an attempt to keep the game going strong. I remember the Fanfest discussions regarding this.
Unfortunately solo game-play became somewhat synonymous with "carebear", unless you were the 133t solo pirate ganker that roamed low-sec, that is. Some players started to believe that you were either a pvper or carebear, and that carebears were as bad as loafers irl. They were effectively dead weight.
In fact pvper and carebear are simply differently methods of playing a MMO on a daily basis. Many of us back in 06 would group pvp one day and go carebearing more solo the next day to make some isk; and we lived in null sec.
But as my rl obligations prevent the somewhat regular game-play for me, I started to get booted from those groups. Military deployments can really mess with your virtual mmo life :) at times.
Anyways, the whole point of this is that Eve Online was far more inclusive to other play-styles in this game. And often those play-styles are not strictly due to ones personality, but their ability to play a mmo in their free time. But there has always been this in-game war against certain play styles, it mainly started as bored players and some true "griefers" way back but it eventually was bought-in by CCP.
They felt it made their game edgy. They wanted to bring that to the forefront. But they over-played it and it started to influence game development.
Now such individual game-play is near impossible at all levels. What was once the more generally safest place to enjoy the game has become the most dangerous. You can't log in and enjoy the game for what it is after a long stressful few weeks at work like you once could.
Therefore, why play the game when you can't enjoy it like you used to?
I really enjoyed playing solo when I was first learning the game. Then it became even more fun when I went to low sec for the first time and got ganked within the first few days of being there. Then it became even more amazing when I went to null sec during one of the first BoB vs red-swarm wars. Then it was off to low sec for my first run as -9.99.....
But eventually real life caught up and I couldn't play as much, so I tried solo game-play, instead of "musical corps"
And ever since eve has become less and less fun. Not because of not being in a group, but the hard fact that CCP doesn't consider solo game-play in this game to be important or even valid.
All those people on facebook whose comments you are saying is worthless is probably the biggest mistake CCP has made regarding this game. They listened to one group of core players far too much and pushed a whole other group of players out of this game, all in the name of making it more edgy.
Many still wish they could enjoy this game, but due to the narrow mindedness of so many players and Devs alike, this game will never be as great as so many realize it could be.

I dont know how things were back in the day, and I cant speak for other corps. But in our corp, we have ppl that just want to log in, dont say anything, do some mining, exploration or pvp and they know we are cool with that. They do reach out sometimes, if they suddenly feel like socializing or want to cooperate on something, or just buy ships or modules, as we sell almost anything in game to corp members at jita prices or lower.
We dont do CTA's, ever. You can join roams from our corp or the alliance if you want though. We just want ppl to have fun in their own way when they log in. So I would make a case here that you can still play solo effectively, only logging in when you want to.
The only annoying thing i can imagine when you are gone for a long time, is that the corp would have moved to another system while you were away. But to prevent that you could sell everything you earn in corp to limit the assets you have or make an effort to keep your stocks in low or high sec.
I dont see limitations on any level. Hell, you could even fly your titan solo with us, i really dont see how your limited in any type of gameplay or combining eve with RL when your with us. |

Ouf of curiosity, would your corp accept an almost complete noob (though I know the basic rules of the game, written and not) who wants to have some fun but can't log in regularly ? I'd understand if that's not possible.
On topic, as someone who has recently started playing as an alpha, I'd say te captain's quarter. It looks pretty (especially the minmatar one) but it's functionally useless. You can't even explore the station - btw why did the devs add a door if it can't be opened ? |

the most unused item in the game.. is the door that ccp cant figure out how to open in our CQ.. which claims due to some toxic gas or some chit however we have an open balcony view of our ship.

Yeah we can have another noob in the team! I brought in a 7 days old player 2 weeks ago. That got some of my mates worried because "can a low SP pilot have fun in null sec?" I believe its possible and ive seen the guy having fun so far, despite being blown up in his venture on day 3 lol. He does have the advantage that he has another char in high that he runs missions with, because killing NPC's out here is very hard for beginners. But you can mine, best in a group with some of us, or alone watching npc's and hostile player activity carefully. You can do exploration solo. You can pvp with us in a frigate too! So yeah, try us out if you want! |

Thanks ! Yes, I can mine, I enjoy it, it's very relaxing. I'd like to finish the basic missions in high sec first, to get better gear - got a Rifter, soon a Trasher, then off to cruisers - and then I'd happily join you. Of course since I'm an alpha I would not be very competitive... |
