I am having issues with the New Eden Economy. The better part of all items on the market are losing ISK. The builders can not replace the minerals/materials used to build most items at the current market prices. Why would any players build items and lose ISK? |

Because there is a constant supply of useful idiots who think the minerals they mine are free. You can't compete with them, so arrange to be buying the stuff they make. |

Yes, there are plenty of economic illiterates who think they minerals they mine are "free", but there are also other factors that may contribute to this. Other industrialists may have lower input costs that you either because they have better skills, manufacture somewhere cheaper than you are, or have a lower cost of materials because they gathered/bought them in the past. Further, New Eden has a chronic problem of over-supply so everyone's hangers are overstuffed with assets, so when they sell something they will usually settle for the market price and not even look at the build cost which contributes to keep prices trending down.
This problem is only get worse as destruction slows down and production stays high (see: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/community/MER/May_2017/0_produced.vs.destroyed.png). I am sure there are niches of profitability out there - try looking at items with high consumption (read: loss) by players - but as New Eden is made safer and safer, there will be less opportunity for industrialists to make profits. I suggest you look around for these opportunities, but if you can't find any you should consider building elsewhere to gain some margin and hopefully profits.

Black Pedro pretty much covered it all, just not some large corporations/alliances have dominated some of the market items that could produced cheaper and effectively (most likely from low sec/null sec areas) and have basically monopolized them all. However, the farther you are from trading hubs the higher the prices so some will compensate any losses from the sale of those items that are further away.
