Could you imagine if the new front page of the new EVE site was how it was in game.
Stations actually orbit the planet instead of the flat universe they have now. Could you imagine real space physics, if everything was not linear and just a painting in the background and you did not need gates, because it was one big universe and not a collection of instances.
I hope the technology is there someday, it would feel like a real universe if even the planets were real and rotated....
Someday.....here's hopeing |

Starsystems are lightyears apart. It would take hours to reach the next best one with our current speedsystem. I prefer stargates.

Too much work, stations and other objects are anchored around planets and moons, the server would have to track all of those in relation to the body, the same with bookmarks, it would be far more effort than it would be worth sadly, and having the game as a single instance would require tech that isn't anywhere near possible for a games developer, it would also be far more annoying as the distance between systems would need to reflect the current distance in lightyears which would make warping between systems take about a year :P |

Good luck. 99,9% of the playerbase would quit after the first week because of too much reality.
Remove standings and insurance.

Nah. You don't have to worry about EVE players quitting for space engineers. They are quitting for SC 3.0
Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?
