I've been whoring myself through an agent for the last month or so and have now got 538k LP with her having done enough today to top the 500k level.
What are the chances of getting a decent faction ship offer? Is it totally random? I was getting 300k LP offers when I had over 450k which depressed me a bit.

Random and rare. I had to fish mine for 2 months (above 500 k LP). When I at last got there it was 2 run BPC for 1.2 mil LP. Well that was acceptable offer. There are some that are not reasonable, like that one with officer tags.

Just curious here: 1.2M LPs for a 2 ran CNR BPC I presume? ME20? It still requires building blasted things which (same as any "normal" Raven) costs just over 84M in today's prices - give or take. A CNR goes for 800M although I've seen them for less... Which leaves you with just under 1,200 ISK/LP... That's not really good, is it? I mean, Caldari State Charters @ 5LP each appear to be a better offer and there's no waiting forever on those? Why not just buy the blasted boat?

Sorry to go one reply (a little) of topic.
to get for instance an offer for a Caldari BS (navy raven) you need to run missions for a caldari agent I suppose? (99.9% sure, but nothing should be taken for granted in this game ;))

It was pre built CNR's, had to supply some chips (approx 100 mil per chip) plus regular ravens.
And yes. Isk/LP ratio sticks somewhere around 1100 isk/LP nowdays for CNR's after initial costs. Reason why people still fish for them is lack of other high end offers worth the effort. Only other things that high are +5 implants and they are under 1000 isk/LP limit even if you get very rare 300 k LP + trade goods offer for them.

Yeah, the offers above 30K are simply insulting in their cheapness and uselessness. And, even if you're running a bunch of non-combat oriented agents, it's rather difficult to balance in between 15-20K LPs waiting for a decent offer. Whatever happened to the "offer pot" idea?

Don't be tempted to trade for offers folks. The LP store is in Rev 2.0 and you can simply PICK the trade you want when 2.0 hits. Just keep storing points and then just get the damn faction ship.

"As for the actual rewards, the agent offer system is being enhanced in two ways: by moving loyalty points from the agent to the corporation level, such that offers will be made on behalf of that corporation, and available through any agent of that corporation; and with the addition of a new loyalty point store, in which players can view the entire list of available agent offers and select which ones to accept as determined by their affordability in loyalty points and/or merchandise." http://myeve.eve-online.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=469

Heh, but whether that will make LP worth more or less we don't really know, now do we? As far as I can tell, most people with big LP saved up who know about the LP store plans are holding onto them. What happens when all these people try to cash out at once?
A lot will depend on whether and how much they're revamping the offer tables at the same time. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I got the offer at about 560k, it was just a case of getting the right tags, which really wasn't difficult. I've now built a CNR for about half the price they're selling at and I'm happy with that.

I can't wait for the Rev 2.0 LP store. I expect CNR prices to take a dip.

CNR prices are already approx as low as they can go before it's no more reasonable to accept those offers. Current CNR price is approx 750 mil while 'best' offer for CNR is approx 700 mil (500 kLP + 200 mil offer) and second best offer is approx 750 mil (600k LP + Raven + Chip).
Lower end of 'acceptable' LP/Isk relation for most missionrunners is 1000 isk/LP. Granted if all things plummet there might be no other option than to accept offers below that mark or not accept them at all. I personally would propably start saving LP for +7 implants in that case (should they ever get implemented).
I expect connection skillbook prices to plummet down to approx 10 mil however if they are no longer rare and everyone can just print them as mutch as they like for LP. As always missionrunners adabt and new equlibrium will form.

I got 670k LP and not one ship offer yet, only crappy implant offers.
Seems agent standing is important as well since im at 7.x only cause i refuse alot of missions i dont like.

The LP store has been on the drawingboard forever (seems like, probaly only Shiva though). I hope it does come in but I'm not holding my breath, just something other than these implant offers might be nice
