Edited by: HeavenlyCreature on 29/05/2007 11:57:25 I have just changed the corporation i am working for, so i have to do a bunch of lvl3's to get back to lvl4's again. Gonna be using a CNR so i have 7 launcher points available and i have Cruise and Heavy spec to 4 ..... ALL other missile specs are 5. So, the question is, which type of launcher is going to clear the areas faster, 7x Heavy II's or 7x Cruise II's ?
BC (drake) isn't completely out of the question, but i only have lvl 1 BC and won't use the skill or the ship for anything else, so probably a bit of a waste of time and iskies.

Edited by: mr bighelmet on 29/05/2007 12:22:21 drake will do the work much faster. faster ship with bonus to the heavy missiles damage. beside what do you think your corpmates will do to you when they see you fit heavy missiles on CNR, you will never be allowed to forget it.
If i post something smart it represent my corp and alliance all other posts are my feeling/ideas only and do not represnt the rest |

A CNR with cruise will be less effective on level 3's then a Drake. The majority of the targets in level 3's are frigates and destroyers. There are usually a few cruisers but even then you won't be getting the max damage out of your CNR. A Drake mounted with tech II heavies will wreck level 3s with little effort.

I don't really want to train BC and buy one specifically to do 100 missions though

TBH, although the drake will do it faster, like you say I wouldn't be arsed buying one and training up a couple of levels of BC either if I had a CNR sat there, just strap some heavys on in, use light drones to pop the frigs, drop some tank and fit an AB to reduce the slow boating between ded gates and just charge through.

Ya, i already have A/B II, Inertial Stabs and Overdrives, so it's pretty nippy anyways.
Probaby gonna go with 7x Heavy II's as the general consensus seems to be that they will be better than Cruise II's.

If you don't want to train up BC and have a CNR already, then go for cruises, but get at least 2 rigor rigs and a hw implant that reduces signature radius at 5%. With this you will be dealing full damage to cruisers (as your support skill is at 5) and full damage of a cruise missile is waaay more than that of a heavy. Don't waste the CNR's bonus and fit heavys. For lowslots i'd say 4 ballistc controls and 1 inertia stab (or 3 bcu and 2 inertias).

did a fair few missions in a normal raven before th drake came out and with ur skills fit 2 painters a booster 2 hardeners and a sensor booster, 3 bcu's and 2 overdrives to get u moving quick. rigs whatever maybe exp radius reducing rigs. BTW 3 exp radius reducing rigs gets ur exp radius down to around 140m

Also dont use heavy drones on your cnr. They will hardly ever hit. Just stick with 5 mediums and 5 lights, insted of 1 heavy, 3 medium, 1 light.

Make sure to have a variety of drones (damage type) in the your hanger for each mission. There is nothing more anoying than going into a mission with drones that do the exact wrong damage type.
Have a good day. go pop a pirate.
