Oh for the love of god please no...
Hopefully (hypothetically speaking) the indy capital ships will have nerfed HP much like the barges. And be easy to gank much like the barges.

The last I saw a Dev say on this (I forget where but recently) was that a capital industrial will not be an Uber-Veld sucker. The Hulk still looks to be the premiere ore muncher in EVE.
My sense is it will more likely be a mobile refinery although with POS who would want one? I doubt its refining efficiency would be all that good so that you would probably be better off refining at a POS or station. With the POS you no longer need to worry about making 20j one way to the refinery (just setup in system) so in all doesn't seem terribly useful not to mention risking a likely very expensive ship. I guess wait and see.

I'd like to see it be able to replace the carrier's (and to a lesser extent dread's) role as a strategic logistics ship (jump drive capable hauler), although still not challenging the capacity of freighters. We don't get information anymore, we get spin.

Personally, I'd be happy with something like a mini freighter with a jumpdrive. It's a crying shame to use carriers and motherships to haul. --------------------------------------------------------------------

That would be ideal. A freighter with less capacity for haulage (not a whole lot less) but with the ability to use jump drive. I'm drooling already!

Think it's a bit sad that you can't cut off supply lines, because almost everything can be jumped in and out with carriers. But maybe because I'm also one of those strange guys, who don't mind to participate in freighter OPs. I never understood, why people dislike them tbh.

are you kidding me? have you tried taking a frieghter deep into 0.0 space? it would take forever and a day. people dislike them because they are just big targets for pirates they are extremely slow. jump drive is the key to getting items into deep space and therefor people into deep space there has to be a steady supply of logistics and carriers shouldnt be the ones doing it. carriers and dreads are for fleet battles not logistics. look how it is today we have dee p sea container ships why not deep space freighters that can jump drive.
